Bear with me - a little background information will be helpful here before I relate it to Trump.
This is for those who took such choices on choosing their candidates for this election that it led to outright hatred for those of your opposing candidate and their supporters.

Watchman Nee is a famous evangelist and martyr for Jesus Christ, at least known among Christians.
Nee started church meetings in China in 1922 and established churches during his 30 years of ministry.

When the Chinese Communist Party took control of China in the 1940s, Nee was persecuted and imprisoned for his faith and ministry and spent the last 20 years of his life in prison; after all, "religion is the opium of the people" according to communists.

Watchman Nee wrote many books during his ministry, including one called Spiritual Authority.
Nee starts off his book with Romans 13:1-7:
"Let every soul be in subjection to the higher powers: for there is no power but of God; and the powers that be are ordained of God.
Therefore he that resisteth the power, withstandeth the ordinance of God: and they that withstand shall receive to themselves judgment.
For rulers are not a terror to the good work, but to the evil.
And wouldest thou have no fear of the power? do that which is good, and thou shalt have praise from the same: for he is a minister of God to thee for good.
But if thou do that which is evil, be afraid; for he beareth not the sword in vain: for he is a minister of God, an avenger for wrath to him that doeth evil.
Wherefore ye must needs be in subjection, not only because of the wrath, but also for conscience' sake.
For for this cause ye pay tribute also; for they are ministers of God's service, attending continually upon this very thing.
Render to all their dues: tribute to whom tribute is due; custom to whom custom; fear to whom fear; honor to whom honor."

Considering this was Nee's advice to the Chinese churches, even during the communist overthrow of China, turning citizens into peasant subjects, it's a wonder why the communists saw the same call for subjection to the higher powers - in this case, what they themselves held - and yet they still persecuted and killed a peaceful minister to the Chinese people.

Remember, the Jews during Jesus' ministry on Earth wanted to be rid of the Romans ruling over them and expected the Messiah to give them back their freedom.
But Jesus said the same thing - subject yourselves to the higher powers, pay their taxes and tributes, render unto Caesar even when you are treated poorly.

If Harris had won, the Word of God stays the same - follow the same rules whether you think this candidate of the other is not following God's laws, they still represent God's authority. Scary, huh?

May this nation follow 2 Chronicles 7:14 and realize it's been time for a long time for us to thank, praise, worship, repent, and discipline ourselves to become much more like our prime and perfect example, The Lord Jesus Christ, before we sing God Bless America" again.
"If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land."

Well, the Lord raised up Trump for some reason. The only question is what that reason is.

What will be, will be. Stressing over the future only causes high blood pressure and loss of sleep.

If you are really disappointed or very excited and elated about the winner or the loser of the election... You are getting all worked up over something none of us can control. I can't stop you from doing it, I can't even argue with you about why you should or should not do it because nobody ever listens, but I'm probably not going to share in your ebullience or chagrin.

A few days ago, I watched a message by Jack Hibbs. He "just happened" to come up in a youtube suggestion. There is no such thing as coincidence.

Mr Hibbs said a lot, but one thing he said stood out. No politician is going to save America. He led the congregation to get on their knees, literally, and pray forgiveness and repentance. There is hope for America yet.

I agree 100% with what you've said. I'll go further, no doubt to be branded a heretic. The colonists should never have fought the British in the War of Independence. Freedom was gained but at what cost? If God's people had fought the real enemy, Satan, I have no doubt that God could have turned the heart of King George. (Proverbs 21:1)

Well, the Lord raised up Trump for some reason. The only question is what that reason is.
It absolutely was not, to make America great again.

Before honor, humility.

America has not yet repented. And instead of national repentance, they chose one of the most arrogant men in the world to lead them through the tribulation.

Trump IS Gods judgment on America. God gave unrepentant America just what they asked for, an unrepentant man of sin to be their leader.

They can't say they were not warned.

Unrepentant America, wow what country has repented and from what?

What does America have to repent of?

The left deceives the world, the right deceives believers.

We were bound to lose no matter which one won.

We were told thousands of years ago that the world will end up in the hands of he antichrist.

It's foolishness to think we can vote our way out from under that.

And what does America have to repent of? You really have to ask that?

As a matter of fact, I do. If Harris had won, foolish Americans may have finally realized that their political system is completely corrupt and rotten to the core. With zero political solutions left, and facing a modern Bolshevik Revolution on their own soil, its possible that Americans may have finally discovered that there is no hope outside of God, and Gods prescribed method of national redemption, which has always and ever shall be, national repentance.

But America did not repent, they did not put their faith in Almighty God, but the Almighty Don. There are no political solutions for a nation under the Judgment of God. Electing Orange Jesus merely sealed our fate.

Things get worse from here, much worse. We were warned that Satan will appear as an angel of light. And we have been warned to seek first the Kingdom of God. We headed neither of these warnings. What comes next is only known to God.

I have no fear either way. But I'm not the sort to put my trust in man, my hope is in Christ alone

"a little background information will be helpful here before I relate it to Trump."

You talked about watchman Nee, communist China, the Jews, Harris and quoted a scripture. Wheres the "relating it to Trump"? He's never mentioned again.

The grandiosity in his speech was something.
The people loved it, yet I wonder if we one day in the near future history will repeat.

According to Seneca, a Roman writer Claudius soiled himself and uttered, “oh dear, oh dear, I think I have made a mess.”

Now did Claudius literally soil himself, or alternatively, it was because his reign had ended in a bit of a mess. I just have a gut feeling Trumps will end in a mess.

I agree concerning the world being deceived. Christians deceive themselves. Anyone who believes a politician is going to solve the problems of this world are mistaken.
That said, politicians vary in what level of harm or benefit they will bring. Voting for one of the other doesn't mean someone is deceived. It can simply mean they are making a rational choice between the options presented. Being deceived isn't of necessity involved.

This assumes God need go to such extremes to provide revelation. It also assumes the warnings of impending doom the Bible records wasn't actually for those it was written.

What does America have to repent of?
Be wary of those who pretend to hold self righteous indignation regarding America.
Especially when they aren't citizens here.

National repentance. As if in their view all 300+ million Americans should drop to their knees and ask God's pardon.

Absurd. Yet,in their way of posting they think that is one missing characteristic that makes America a bad country.

But...they live here?
Don't bet on it.

They label Trump the man of sin.
Therein playing God with that calculated slur meant to condemn Trump as a tool of Satan.

Hatred. That is their sin.

We will never ever change that mind set. They are anti-America trolls. They are haters. They use the Bible as a cover for their sin and yet they are openly unrepentant slanderers , enemies of America and Americans, and hate mongers.

Kamala Harris is too. She would have destroyed this country had she entered the office where she would have the power to do so. And they wanted that.

She's a Marxist Communist and Fascist. And those haters of Trump here prefer that to a Christian in the White House.

And they'll crow that Trump doesn't act like one. While read and see it is they who fit that description. Every anti-Trump,anti-America post they publish in their name.

Pay,pray, attention when the Devils disciples openly come against the people of Christ and this one nation ,the United States of Americans.
When they show us what they are,and are not, believe them!

*snerk snort

It seems I recall a story in the Bible where the kingdom of Israel split in two, and when Solomon's son went out to regain control the prophet sent them home again, saying this was from God.

Are you saying it was not God's will that the USA split off from Britain? A lot of people believe it was completely in line with God's will, so America could go on to do the great things it has done.

There is a growing sentiment though, even among those people, that America has already done the great things it was supposed to do and now it is falling away. So you may get the retribution for the split that you were expecting after all.

Worry about your own country of Scotland.

Orange Jesus?
That's one proof you are posing as more than just an American here.

Christians don't talk like that. If your hope was in Christ alone you would have nothing to say in these type threads. And you absolutely wouldn't use juvenile Leftist hate monger slurs to attack Trump.

I have to say they do. Even Christians might in derision call that guy orange Jesus once in awhile.
