Law to do perfectly? can anyone e else do this perfect Law, before, during his walk here on earth or even after his (Jesus') resurrection
Law and grace, getting forgiven over and over again, by repenting over and over every time one sins again? Will Son ever die all over again or is it done?
Or is it done by Son once for all. to decide to believe God or not? And begin to see new, not from this world's view any longer?

Matthew 6:12
and forgive us our sins, just as we have forgiven those who have sinned against us.
Luke 24:47
and that this message of salvation should be taken from Jerusalem to all the nations: There is forgiveness of sins for all who turn to me.
John 1:14
And Christ became a human being and lived here on earth among us and was full of loving forgiveness and truth. And some of us have seen his glory—the glory of the only Son of the heavenly Father!
John 1:17
For Moses gave us only the Law with its rigid demands and merciless justice, while Jesus Christ brought us loving forgiveness as well.
John 20:23
If you forgive anyone’s sins, they are forgiven. If you refuse to forgive them, they are unforgiven.”
Acts 10:43
And all the prophets have written about him, saying that everyone who believes in him will have their sins forgiventhrough his name.”
Acts 13:38
“Brothers! Listen! In this man Jesus there is forgiveness for your sins!
Acts 26:18
to open their eyes to their true condition so that they may repent and live in the light of God instead of in Satan’s darkness, so that they may receive forgiveness for their sins and God’s inheritance along with all people everywhere whose sins are cleansed away, who are set apart by faith in me.’

  1. Romans 4:7

  10. Hebrews 10:18
Now, when sins have once been forever forgiven and forgotten, there is no need to offer more sacrifices to get rid of them.
  11. Hebrews 10:26
If anyone sins deliberately by rejecting the Savior after knowing the truth of forgiveness, this sin is not covered by Christ’s death; there is no way to get rid of it.
  12. 1 John 2:2
He is the one who took God’s wrath against our sins upon himself and brought us into fellowship with God; and he is the forgiveness for our sins, and not only ours but all the world’s.
  13. 1 John 2:12
I am writing these things to all of you, my little children, because your sins have been forgiven in the name of Jesus our Savior.

We are forgiven to get given the new life of Jesus for us to be new from God's view, not anyone else's view. Yet I see to be careful to do good works, yet the good works is not of our first born person is it? Since no flesh but Son's could ever please God, Romans 8:3

The morrow of this post.
Ask God Father of the risen Christ for the new life to get given you too. Then stand in belief to God, for this to take place over time and time again of failing over and over and over and over again and again. Seek out this awesome truth of reconciliation of Son given us to walk new in love to all, not a few as I know I used to do, and only God can reveal this to those that will not deny God

We have some here who say God would never command us to do that which we could not.

It seems they have not read the Bible!

Since Jesus was sent to fulfill the law, because none other could.

You got it, God has revealed this to you too, thank you
God says we can, and that not be of the self at all. Proven in the Old Testament to me, not even the first chosen could ever do it.
Therefore God did it for us by Son to us. Take a look at Saul who became Paul and saw no way could he ever do it, being taught under Law by Gamaliel, who took it so literally he killed believers, who saw that one in belief to God about Son, that got stoned to death in front of him. I see this the wondering that crossed his mind, who goes to death willingly? Then the road too Damascus right after that

“For this commandment which I command thee this day, it is not hidden from thee, neither is it far off. It is not in heaven, that thou shouldest say, Who shall go up for us to heaven, and bring it unto us, that we may hear it, and do it?

Neither is it beyond the sea, that thou shouldest say, Who shall go over the sea for us, and bring it unto us, that we may hear it, and do it?

But the word is very nigh unto thee, in thy mouth, and in thy heart, that thou mayest do it.

I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing:

therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live:”
‭‭Deuteronomy‬ ‭30:11-14, 19‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man. For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil.”
‭‭Ecclesiastes‬ ‭12:13-14‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Our God is a Consuming Fire
:)
amen that really says alot about the scenario God alone is soveriegn and he is a lawgiver he sets a law before man explains the good and bad and the results of both choices and says choose life and live.

this is the design of his sovereign will , by it he included mankind through the gospel. His Will is always expressed by what he has said to mankind

The sovereign one has designed a plan for us and shown it to us in Christ spoken to us by him.

Old covenant word a pattern

“I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live:”
‭‭Deuteronomy‬ ‭30:19‬ ‭KJV‬‬

New eternal covenant word , that pattern in the law , revealed in plain sight to all people

“And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; ( life )

but he that believeth not shall be damned.”( death )
‭‭Mark‬ ‭16:15-16‬ ‭

choose life is what happens when we accept the gospel he sent forth to save us.

“For the Father judgeth no man, but hath committed all judgment unto the Son: ( this isn’t Moses law it’s the word of our savior the son of God ) Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life. ( life and death is being set before a believer )

….Marvel not at this: for the hour is coming, in the which all that are in the graves shall hear his voice, and shall come forth; they that have done good, unto the resurrection of life;

and they that have done evil, unto the resurrection of damnation.

( life and death was set before them now what they have done will determine thier reward whether good or evil )

….. Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me. And ye will not come to me, that ye might have life.”
‭‭John‬ ‭5:22, 24, 28-30, 33, 37-40‬ ‭

we need this word

“Ho, every one that thirsteth, come ye to the waters, and he that hath no money; come ye, buy, and eat; yea, come, buy wine and milk without money and without price.

Incline your ear, and come unto me: hear, and your soul shall live; and I will make an everlasting covenant with you, even the sure mercies of David.”
‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭55:1, 3‬ ‭KJV‬‬

as we hear the gospel we begin to understand God is placing life and death before us as Jesus preached it and said believe me and live . Reject me and you will face the words you are rejecting in the end .

He that rejecteth me, and receiveth not my words, hath one that judgeth him: the word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day.”
‭‭John‬ ‭12:48‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad.”
‭‭2 Corinthians‬ ‭5:10‬ ‭KJV‬‬

When people quote that the law of Moses was removed I agree completely , but as the law was taken away in Jesus death the word he had preached before he died , became the everlasting words of God for everyone both the blessings and warnings of curses we find in the gospel . Those warnings about bad things are true also and very good news .

judt like Noah being told about the flood was great news so he could prepare things like this

“I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish.”
‭‭Luke‬ ‭13:3‬ ‭KJV‬‬

if I listen to this it’s telling me how to avoid Perishing forever in the second death. Calling me to repentance and belief . But it’s only if I believe him that is going to have any impact on me . if I believe in Jesus and he’s my lord teaching this , then it’s going to have a real impact on my faith. So it reverts back to the summary “ all who believe shall be saved “

It’s only Because we do hear what he’s saying in the gospel and believe him that there’s ever a choice given to us to be free of slavery.

“Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, (not the non believers the believers who were listening to him ) If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed; and ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free….. If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.”
‭‭John‬ ‭8:31-32, 36‬ ‭KJV‬‬

It seems like God has taken his soveriegn plan of salvation and set it before the world called it the gospel and it is offering eternal life to anyone who believes him as he’s promising these things and teaching them

The doctrine Jesus teaches is not for people who are holier than tho that rejected him it’s for the imperfect ones among us to save us who believe in him. To heal us and repair our faith and trust in God our receptiveness to his word

“Then drew near unto him all the publicans and sinners for to hear him.

And the Pharisees and scribes murmured, saying, This man receiveth sinners, and eateth with them.”
‭‭Luke‬ ‭15:1-2‬ ‭KJV‬‬

remember the law how the people reacted ?

“Now therefore why should we die? for this great fire will consume us: if we hear the voice of the LORD our God any more, then we shall die.”
‭‭Deuteronomy‬ ‭5:25‬ ‭KJV‬‬

he wants us to believe the gospel and react this way

Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life”

“If any man have ears to hear, let him hear.”
‭‭Mark‬ ‭4:23‬ ‭

There’s a difference in the law of Moses and the gospel we have to go through the gospel repenting from the old thought “ if I listen to a gods word I’ll die for sure “ and believe the gospel “ if I listen to Gods word I’ll live for sure “

If we hear the gospel we’ll live if were trying to please God by keeping the Old Testament law of Moses we’re missing Christ and the gospel. If we are disciples of Jesus and listen to his word he sent to all people we’re gonna live

the doctrine creates a choice between life and death for the Hearer.

John 17:2-3~ You granted Him authority over all people, so that He may give eternal life to all those You have given Him. Now this is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, Whom You have sent.:)

We are not acceptable to God until we receive the Spirit for then we are compatible with Him.

Repentance of sins turning away from them, and the blood of Christ that completely washes away our sins allows us to receive the Spirit.

God says our sins separate us from Him and it does not matter if a person confesses Christ or not.

Which is why Jesus said not everyone that says Lord Lord will enter heaven because they were workers of iniquity.

Which the Lord knows those that are His having this seal that everyone that names the name of Christ depart from iniquity.

Which if a person sins wilfully after receiving the truth there is no more sacrifice for sins which the blood of Christ cannot wash it away for God will not take away a sin you hold on to.

Which there is no excuse for a Spirit led person will not fulfill the lusts of the flesh for they have crucified the flesh with the affections, and lusts.

And God will not allow them to be tempted above what they are able, and will give them an escape from the temptation so they can bear it.

The Bible says some have a form of godliness but deny the power thereof, and are ever learning but never able to come to the knowledge of the truth, and are lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God.

The Bible says this is the love of God, that we keep His commandments, and by this we know we are the children of God, when we love God, and keep His commandments.

The antichrist will make war against all people who hold the testimony of Jesus, and keep His commandments.

Paul said we do not void out the law through faith, but we establish the law.

Which the law is spiritual, good, just, and holy.

We receive the Spirit so we can obey the law.

Jesus came to fulfill the law, and when we confess Christ then we have to live up to the law, which we can do for we have the same power available to us the Holy Spirit.

When the Bible says a Spirit led person is not under the law it means that their sins are forgiven, and they are abstaining from sins, so the law cannot touch them for prosecution.

Some people make excuses that they cannot abstain from sins but they want to enjoy sins and believe they are right with God.

The Bible says charity, love in action, is greater than faith, and faith works by love.

Which love does not think an evil thought, and does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth.

So if they say they cannot abstain from sins enjoying them then that is not love then their faith is no good.

Which is why Paul said he can have all faith so that he could remove mountains, but if he did not have charity then he is nothing.

And James said if they do not have charity their faith is dead.

We are not acceptable to God until we receive the Spirit and act Christlike which not everyone does.

Some take perfection to mean without flaw, and in some contexts that is what it alludes to, but being perfect as God
is perfect I believe alludes to maturity in our faith, being complete unto ourselves, having found our wholeness in Him.

In this way we can rest fully in Him and not run after things as the Gentiles do.

Wow there is a lot in this post. Lol. Remember when Nicodemus came to Christ and asked how to be saved? He said that to see the kingdom you have to be born again. And Nicodemus asked how does one get born again, right? In this passage Christ said you have to be spiritually reborn to see the kingdom and born of water, or baptism to enter it. That is also why Christ was baptized to fulfill all righteousness. Now if christ has a need to be baptized how much more do we who are unholy have need to be baptized?

The purpose behind this is that one you have to have a spiritual awakening to see how lost we are and that we need to be saved. Second we need to enter into a covenant with God that we will follow Christ until death (being submerged in the waters.) And be reborn a new being (coming up out of the waters. This symbolism is two fold as it represents the death of our carnal selves and rebirth of our spiritual selves. And the representation that we will follow Christ until our physical death and trust in His atonement that we will be resurrected.

Even with that, we will still sin, that is true, and it may seem hopeless at times. But the change from our carnal self to the spiritual self is that we will not have a disposition to do evil but good continually. That doesn't mean we will be successful at it. But it means that our desires are to do good, and that we turn to the Lord for help as we fall short. Remember in Roman's 8 it says that when Christ comes again we will be changed to be like him. At that time will we be perfected in Christ and be able to conquer sin and sit at the right hand of God with Christ as stated in the book of revelation.

There is a promise that in the end we will be perfected and be able to master ourselves enough not to sin. But it is only through the atonement of Christ and the grace of God that that is possible. The price has already been paid. And doesn't need to be paid again.

This goes along with the reference where it says that we sell ourselves for not. Itse because Christ has already paid for us, so we are not our own to sell. And because he already owns us. He will always come to claim those who are even the most broken who call upon his name.

Even one of the thieves who did next to him was promised to rest with him in paradise until the resurrection. Have hope.

No, Christ was definitely not speaking about water baptism. Ordinary H2O does not cleanse the soul. So ask yourself what exactly is this water. I have already posted on this issue but go to Strong's concordance and look up "water".

You seem very passionate about this. But I think you missunderstand me. I never said that the water itself cleanses sin. But I did say that Christ said it was necessary. And there are plenty of scriptures that talk about it. It is the Spirit which cleanses the soul, but the baptism is a symbol of our obedience to follow him and an act of covenant. The water is but half a baptism as Paul explained to the two men in Acts 19:1-6 and also with Peter in Acts 8:14-20 when he gave the Holy Ghost by the laying on of hands and rebuked Simon for thinking he could buy this power.

Thank you, me, seeing this insight given you too, It is the purpose one does whatever one does that is counted as righteousness, from Father of risen Son Jesus. Get water Baptized for a good conscience between God and you alone. Not to be a member of any particular Church, or to get Kudos from others, hey look at you you got Baptized, how cool, I see that is where pride sneaks in, I do not want it, as I see you do not too. Thanks friend in risen Son Jesus
Entering God Father's courts with praise and thanksgiving , Jesus has taken away all sin for us all to glory in and be new as born again by God for us all to believe God and then get instructed by God personally in each of us as new kids, in Heaven under God's Spirit and Truth the Holy Spirit leading us, and when messing up. God keeps us cleaned up to teach us new in and learn willingly not to do that again, all the way down to God's grace is sufficient for us for now, Yes then in a twinkling of an eye, bodies redeemed too, In the mean time I see to die daily to me, the first born self not yet redeemed yet
And see also in that acceptance not to take that for granted either, a perplexity, that we, I at least am learning from daily
