The way we come to Christ is the way we live the rest of our lives in Him....
Colossians 2:6-7 (NASB)

How did we come to Christ?...it was all His grace through us having faith in Him.
Ephesians 2:8-9 (NASB)

[SUP]9 [/SUP] not as a result of works, so that no one may boast.
All your sins have been forgiven.
Colossians 2:13 (NASB)
[SUP]13 [/SUP] When you were dead in your transgressions and the uncircumcision of your flesh, He made you alive together with Him, having forgiven us all our transgressions,
We cannot "perfect" ourselves by our own self-salvation....us "doing" things to keep our salvation....it is all by faith in Christ.
Galatians 3:3 (NASB)
[SUP]3 [/SUP] Are you so foolish? Having begun by the Spirit, are you now being perfected by the flesh?
When you believed..the Holy Spirit came and sealed you for God.
Ephesians 1:13 (NASB)
[SUP]13 [/SUP] In Him, you also, after listening to the message of truth, the gospel of your salvation—having also believed, you were sealed in Him with the Holy Spirit of promise,
Jesus said.." I will never leave you nor forsake you."
No one ( including yourself ) can take you from Jesus and the Father's hand.
John 10:28-29 (NASB)

There are those that say ...You must "do" things in order to keep your salvation. They will scare you with "conditional verses"..If..might, may..but they are just language structures.
Wheh you know you are safe and learn about the love and grace of God in C hrist...you will follow Him and fall in love so deeply that you will be full of joy..even in the midst of trails. He is always there for you. Trust Him..
...so..growing in Christ and His grace and knowledge will keep you strong in Him in this world and reap great dividends for you.
2 Peter 3:18 (NASB)
[SUP]18 [/SUP] but grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To Him be the glory, both now and to the day of eternity. Amen.
