Just because the word "Antichrist" is not in Daniel means nothing. He is called by other names and titles, and Christ has nothing to do with the Abomination of Desolation (which is mentioned in Dan 9:27). Also, the prophecy of Daniel is careful to distinguish between "Messiah the Prince" and "the prince that shall come" (after Him). Messiah was crucified in 30 AD. The Antichrist will appear in the near future.

The abomination of desolation is not mentioned in Daniel 9:27.
It states because of the overspreading of abomination desolation would come.
The overspreading of abomination was the continued offering of sacrifices in the temple by the Jews after they crucified the Messiah.
This is why God allowed the roman army to come and destroy the city, the temple and the nation and drive them from the land just a Ezekiel prophesied.
The prince to come is the emperor of Rome not the antichrist.
What Scripture supports the antichrist destroying the city and the temple?
If he sets up the abomination of desolation in the temple why and when does he destroy it and the city?
Show me Scripture to support this.
I agree the Messiah was crucified in about 30AD, and that is when the covenant promised by God was confirmed with many Jews just as Paul states in Hebrews 8,9,10.
Jews were the great majority in those early churches.

This is the most controversial verse in the entire Bible. It can be approached from many different angles, so the Church is divided by the various interpretations and how it should be applied.

Just because there are many different angles does not take away that its meaning is very clear and there are many more verses that support this verse.

If it's meaning was clear, we wouldn't have so many opposing views and interpretations of that verse.
There are many more verses which oppose the literal interpretation of this verse. So it still comes down to which interpretation each individual chooses to accept as being the accurate one.
Skilled Bible theologians can assemble a variety of scripture passages to build a strong case, to support any of the opposing views. We all change our views many times on the different bible doctrines as we mature.
This is why most Christians change Church denominations several times as they learn more. So everyone is at different stages of the Christian journey, and our views evolve as we go.
