I don't think those catastrophes are divine punishments. I think those catastrophes are man-made.
Both things occur. The latter half is called the time of God's Wrath, but his Judgements are poured out all throughout the seven years.

Sounds good, would you be open to a call or video chat so that I'll be able to share more?
Just start a Thread on Revelation in the Bible Discussion Forum. If you want a private discussion, you may invite a couple people into a Private Message right here on CC.

Hello All,

This is my first time on here but I am happy to connect with other believers who enjoy fellowship in the Lord. I have been growing a lot recently in my life of faith, and a huge part of that is both my wife and I getting a more clear understanding of God's heart and will from Genesis to Revelation.

One determination that I have been focused on this year is getting more skilled in the word and speech so I can be able to convey the Word of God with impact. One of the topics I have been looking at recently is, "How one can clearly be able to recognize Jesus and the work he carries out at the second coming"

In Matthew 24:5 it mentions that many will come in the name of Jesus, saying "I am the Christ" and will deceive many.

Reflection question that I asked myself, How can we be those who are not deceived?

If there has been anyone who may desire to know even more about this, feel free to PM me (if that's an option on here) ☺️
Hi ya welcome to CC :)

The book of Revelation foretells some of the catastrophes that will happen to mankind in the last days, but I don't think those catastrophes are divine punishments. I think those catastrophes are man-made.

Revelation also indicates that God never gave up on either person, the Two witnesses testify that even though those people still do not believe in God,God still sent two witnesses to preach His Word.

It's not clear to me that the prophecies of the Revelation will have to be fully fulfilled if the real world is to evolve in a better direction, but I'm not holding my hopes up.

But one thing is clear to me,To be king with Christ is not to issue executive orders like a secular president, but to influence those around us through our acts of obedience to God's Word. That is what it means to be king with Christ.
I look at the Book of Revelation as a friendly reminder from God that what my parents said about the margin of safety in the world today was true, with a promise that it is only going to get worse, not better.
