they are a dangerous cult. I actually had one come into a bible book store and beat the crap out of a member who left their church, and told him he was going to hell.
I had a young lady talking to my wife who started asking questions when I was sent home early one day and started to discus what she was saying. and an elder of her church came and took over, I never saw that girl again.
we should stop giving this person an audience. God forbid he would actually convince someone in here to join his cult.

This is the definition of the word cult. Only "we" are saved with our strange beliefs, because in some twisted way I proved it in the Bible. Only you did not, in any, way shape or form.
I guess I missed the verse that says, "Thou shalt not play instruments in church" Please give me the book, chapter and verse.
Just think, for one minute. Don't you think that if it was that important to God, he would have spelled it out clearly???
And there is another denomination I read about when a testimony I was reading got derailed, The Reformed Orthodox Presbyterian or something. Wait, that is where Campbell's father came out of. So are those people saved, or are there more hoops to jump through?

Wait, the medieval monks also chanted with no instrumentation. The Psalms, no less. Are they also saved?
You know the road that leads to eternal life is narrow, but not so narrow it only includes a few nut cases from the deep south of the USA. (Not including Elizabeth in this, since she is not stomping her foot and saying the rest of us are not saved)

thats the point, they play on fear. once they get you in, they keep you in with fear. It is hard to leave, even if yuo know you are in trouble.
thats why they beat that one guy up.
They told my wife she would go to hell if she did not leave me. We lost two great friends because of it. They are so afraid. People think jw's and mormons are bad. they are mild compared to this church.
This is why you should check everything you hear against the word. Did Jesus say this?

Oh, I know. I was just saying that because both believe in no instruments being used for worship. Otherwise, the differences between the two are very clear. Good on you, Elizabeth.
This is a bible discussion forum where one can asks a question to a particular person or to the general population of members. My question was to the general audience on why I believe the Church of Christ is the true church of the bible. When you make a comment to the population of members you then wait for a reply, and I didn't have to wait long. Would you care for any other info, or is this enough as I don't want you to lose any sleep over this.
Your statement contradicts itself just as your doctrine....on why I believe is a statement...not a question!
