Every Christian sins. Every Christian struggles with sin. We have a sin nature and fleshly desires and until someone is "born again" scripture says they are a "natural man," one who is "dead in sin." The "natural man" follows his fleshly desires, and is unwilling to obey God; he may sin habitually. That is allowing a certain sin or sins to dominate their lives. The Christian allows sin to have power over them and control their lives. We must be "born again," saved by the blood of Christ, then we will be transformed into a new creation. We will not be immune to sin, but will have a stronger and deeper desire not to let sin dominate or have power over our lives. Habitual sin must be kicked out, so to speak. The Holy Spirit that dwells within every Christian will guide us and help us overcome habitual sin. God will give us the ability of a desire to turn away from the particular sin or sins that is dominating our lives. We must have faith and be dependent on God, that He will help us drive these wicked desires out of our hearts! Praise God!
2 Corinthians 5:17 The moment we give our lives to Jesus Christ, we are in the process of sanctification. Christians will always battle sin, all the days of our lives, but we have the power through Jesus Christ that no sin can dominate our heart, mind, and body.
Romans 7:15-25 This passage is text book on what we as Christians go through battling sin daily. Paul says, "I am carnal," or fleshly. Careful, this is used in a variety of way through the bible, but here Paul means being dominated by sin and pursuing sinful things. Paul tells us clearly and humbly, that he desires to do what is good in God's eyes, yet he does what is evil instead. Christians desire to "do right" by God and yet we fail Him daily.
**Its very difficult to admit that Christians sometimes do the evil that we don't want to do and "fall short" of the good that we really desire to do. The Christian that is struggling with habitual sin must change their habits that lead to that sin. We may have to adopt the attitude of Joseph when he was tempted by Potiphar's wife. Joseph ran away so quickly that his cloak was left in her hands. Make every effort to turn and run away from the things that tempt us so badly. Immerse ourselves in God's word, pray, and allow the Holy Spirit to take control.

If someone is struggling with a certain sin, remember God loves you, He wants to help you. Lean on our Lord for guidance and assistance. Pray and talk to Him, He is listening! God Bless!!
