Anyone care to explain why it is that every time a girl actually gets me she HAS to live, ohhhhh... about 300 miles out of bicycle pedaling range. I rode my bicycle 34 miles to see my Mom and brothers the other weekend in about 95 degrees and I can see that seeming like a fourth of the time if I were riding to see some sweet-hearted girl...but as mentioned... out of biking range.
 
i feel ya on that, met a lot of great people on here, its a shame they live so far away :-/
 
Well, I'm new here... I play some online games and I find some really cool girls. I've found a few that seemed to regularly be on the same wavelength as me. But girls where I live... I've given up on asking them out. They look at me like I've got three heads and they can't decide which to say no to.
 
you think 300 miles is bad? Try other continents.:cool: At least you could get there by bus if you really wanted to.
 
I had a long distant relationship with someone who lived in London while I lived in Denver. We racked up a lot of frequent flier miles that year.
 
I feel y'all.... When an amazing guy in my life lived in Chicago and Washington DC (still does from time to time) that was tough enough, but when he lived in Qatar, Lebanon, Iraq and Afghanistan it really got to be quite an issue. :) *sigh*
 
One problem. I attend college and while I am looking I can't find a job (so I barely scrape by and often go a day or two without eating which is REALLY bad as I am hypoglycemic) so while I would certainly deal with my fear of heights and hop a plane to see some really nice girl I've met I have the problem of not having the means to do so. Also, I don't even ask for them to come see me because there are a lot of creeps out there and while I can quite easily defend myself (i'm 6'4 and got beat up in school bad. And through the years I learned how to fight HARD-- I nearly killed someone once by mistake) I find it...lacking in chivalry to ask a girl to leave her comfort zone to visit someone she can't be sure she knows. Is visiting me a risk? No.. far from it, but it's the principle of the thing.
