Is there anything that'll help to get rid of extreme pain in the hands and feet?
Feet feel like they are burning. Red hot with pain. Whenever pressure is placed on them, the pain gets worse.

Hands are just hurting but often times the pain is severe. Can anything be done?

Diabetes will cause nerve pain. I would recommend that you have this checked out professionally.

Just saw this. Have you been checked by a doctor? Blood work? I have what is called neuropthy which is a "nerve" condition.
A deadening of the nerves. I have your symptoms, but only in my feet. The burning. Along with cramping, and what feels like bugs crawling up my lower extremities. Moving around usually helps to aliviate the problem, but it's always there to some degree. I'm sure you've done your own research. Come up with anything?

Hello, dancing lady. What a pretty name. I do not have neuropathy, but been helping a relative who does. In readings/searches, i found a local video of a naturopathic doc who recommends heated sand to alleviate/(heal?) neuropathy. It is like walking in the beach, but if u live far from them, then a basin of warm sand would do something like what happens at the beach. The vid is in Filipino and meant for locals, but if u just watch u may get some idea like abt the 3 kinds of sand. A while ago, i posted a thread on Sand therapy, wc i have only just been learning abt at the time of posting. But i sincerely hope such helps work for u, for they are simple, as u can heat sand in the microwave when it is not hot enough outside, and i know no side effects compared to the usual meds. Except be careful u get scorched when too hot-). [pamamanhid=numbness]

Now that's very interesting. I live near wonderful salt water beaches, and a nice walk In the sand is very doable. I will try it. I can see how such would stimulate the nerve endings. I wonder, though, once nerve endings die, can they be restored. They claim there is no cure for neuropathy. But heck, what a great excuse to go to the beach!!!!

Yes, they claim... see if that is right/true and let folks here know... i envy u. We are surrounded by beaches, but cannot go often. Its more like a resort (pool walking distance) and hot springs quite nearby, but theres nothing like a beach.

Walking on the beach also grounds you, which helps reduce inflammation and is also helpful for mood stability.

Did u find what causes the pain? Uric acid, someone said. But of course its a mix of B complex vitamin needs also, i suppose. Im finding more interesting things abt collagen protein, etc. and how we miss or throw away some of the more impt nutrients we need becasue we dint know abt it-)! Sorry i am not editing, and rushing a post simply stresses when there are too many faults, for the reader too i know. But i need breakfast, and to run.
