i've seen the corruption of so called child friendly cartoons;

elements of homosexuality, elements of magic arts and other things, all to desensitize your children.

Don't be suprised when your kids start wearing your high heels, or becoming effeminate, the seeds are being sowed people!

Oh boy. No wonder why some parents do not allow their kids to watch TV.
Nonetheless Christians are in the world and so are not immune from its ungodliness. I mean you may try to shield your children from seeing those TV shows but one way or another, they will see homosexuality, magic arts, etc., around them. We just need to teach them how to discern what is right from wrong and avoid all appearances of evil, teach them the word of God, and pray for them. You could try to ban TV at home but that's not going to prevent your kids from seeing all that.

I know a pastor that raised his kids without a tv in the house. Only problem was they missed out on certain things that would've benefited them.

We live in a Satanic world, it's everywhere. As a child you are at your most vulnerable to be brainwashed, so Satan jumps on that opportunity trying to heavily indoctrinate them with things of the world.

Christian tv is good (TCT for example) and there are lots of Christian kids shows and dvds you can buy. Obviously you can't wrap them in cotton wool forever as they will be exposed to this type of stuff eventually as they grow up in the world, but getting them off to a good start is ideal. That's where it all begins!

I also think a Christian school or homeschooling is better than handing your kids over to the system of the world.

My husband and I raise our children without tv, but we do watch movies as a family. This way when they are exposed to something we are there to explain. Starfield, you are right kids are still going to find out, but that doesn't mean it has to be in their home life. So when our kids come home after finding out something they ask about it, we again have an opportunity to explain. We have noticed a good difference in them from their peers. The other parents notice also and often ask what our secret is...I guess not watching tv is a bigger deal than most believe. We have actually had a few parents come out and ask if our kid could become friends with theirs because our kid is a good influence.

Subtle messages are everywhere. Billboards, commercials, music, clothing, advertising, tv, movies, books, food, pretty much everywhere you look. Scary..... I wish us Christians fraught louder for God and got him in all these same places.
 
Over do it and your kids will go completely the other way... all things in moderation find the better cartoons and offer them to your kids.
 
I thought this post was funny. I am sorry, but I grew up watching most of the shows in the first video and you know what was going across my mind? Stupid cartoons that I thought were funny. I wasn't thinking of homosexuality, magic arts, or anything else....just humor. Most kids probably aren't learning what they are learning from cartoons rather other kids at school(that is the big one) who are learning from parents, older siblings, and the internet. How about instead of blaming TV you look at the bigger picture. Honestly, just because I watch a show where they have magic powers/ super powers does not mean I am going to turn around and start practicing witchcraft. Also along with the men dressing as woman I saw the Spongebob episode in the first video where Spongebob was dressed as a woman w/ an umbrella and Patrick was dressed as a man and they were pushing a stroller. If you saw the whole episode (which I know this will probably be turned against me, but I am going to say it anyway) Spongebob and Patrick had found an animal who had been separated from its mother and they decide to raise it so it wouldn't die. When I saw that episode that is exactly what I thought about. They were helping an animal in need and not being gay.

PS: How about we grow up and stop using the pause and zoom feature on our remotes to make stuff become pornographic. Honestly, if that is what you are doing then I am just curious as to what your really focusing on.(By you I don't mean anyone on here)

We didn't have a TV until I was sixteen. Never did me any harm. My two children were monitored as to what they watched. They are actively involved in their local churches (they have left home) Can't see any harm there.

Praise God for Godly parents and Grandparents.
 
Seems a stretch since these are all comedies and you have completely removed all context from the photos. Some of those shows are mainly for adults anyways. I watched all of them at some point growing and now am no more likely to crossdress than I was as a child.
 
Used to play video games and watch tv because i couldn't play sports well, then my mother got me a piano! That was the best thing that ever happened in my life...
 
We do not have TV running into our house, but we do use Netflix to choose programming that offers decent parent-approved content. And we control usage of this. No TV, no commercials! Anyway, I'm less worried about homosexual "seeds" in cartoons, media, and TV than I am about those shows planting a desire to be worldly and want what the world offers. This is the big problem even with emergent churches and the like....grab a cup of coffee in church and listen to a message that God wants people to be wealthy, happy, and successful. That's the world's gospel.
 
I watched these shows as a child growing up and I never had any thought like that come into my mind. Now as an adult, I can see where you come from. I will watch 90's cartoons just for the fun of it, and hear some of the things they say, and can't believe it!

I do agree with an above poster about not overdoing it. There are a few shows out there that are kid friendly without "underlying meanings".
 
I think every single parent raising kids in today’s strange world should get some text books on the subconscious mind. If they knew how it is programmed, and about the “filtering system” minds have and how children get this sytem, parents could do a much better job of helping children through. If children are completely protected without any help in handling what WILL come to them, it can hit them hard and they would be no better off than children raised with all TV as a baby sitter.

I keep thinking of the scripture to “put on the whole armor of God”. Like so many posters are saying, they can grow up with it all around them and never let it come near. Actually, their minds were filled with good and fun things.
 
if you let your children watch simpsons and family guy that says more about you than the cartoons, eh?

They are obviously made for teens or older (I guess some TV channels could think a bit more about what times of day stuff is aired though. Then again, if you do have a TV and kids, you are the one in control of the remote ),
 
This made me laugh. As long as parents are doing their job and reminding their kids that IT'S JUST A SHOW and it shouldn't be taken as reality, you don't have much to worry about. Look at it this way, if cartoons were as influential as people think, kids would eagerly chug spinach strait from the can, thanks to Pop-eye. The day I see that happen, then maybe I'll worry lol.
 
You can't just hand pick these random pictures and take them completely out of context. I've seen some of the episodes referenced here, and they are punishments. Notice the facial expressions on some of them are very unhappy. I know this is not the case for all of them, but I think this is very misleading.
