Passover = Faith in the work of the cross

Study Passover and the Sader, it;s all about the cross and nothing else.

The imagery of Christ being the Passover lamb is quite common in some churches liturgy. Christ blood atones for for our sin that "judgement would pass over us." The love of Christ is shed abroad is our hearts as the blood of the lamb was put over the door to show how God's love protected the Israelites from the Angel of Death. The first born son of of every Egyption Son was killed to atone for the violation of God's command to let his people go. Christ is the first born Son of the Father the lamb slain before the foundation of the world. The elements of the Sader feast wine and the bread are used during the Passover meal as a way we are called to remember the the Sacrifice He was about to make. He in essence as our chief high priest fulfilled forever the eternal Passover feast during the time of Passover. Any of the first century Jewish believers would have honed into this symbolism as well as any of the early church fathers would have seen this an allegory esp in the Alexandrian School of early church thought.

(Exo12:29 KJV) Andit came to pass, that at midnight the LORD smote all the firstborn inthe land of Egypt, from the firstborn of Pharaoh that sat on histhrone unto the firstborn of the captive that was in the dungeon; andall the firstborn of cattle.

And they feasted over the death off all the first born children and ate the cup cakes tooooo

Then they hit the can and dooodidooooed all night long only they run out of paper to whip the smile off of their face
