Well anyways, my church I think is hosting Jews for Jesus for a lesson on the Passover. A couple by the last name of Rood. I'm sorry I just don't like that title messianic, I know what it means but I don't find it necessary for people to act like their still Jewish after being a believer. Sure we all are circumcised Jews by heart in a sense, but saying you are Jewish is weird even if you grew up Jewish. We all are one people in the same vine, branched together as one. Anyone separate from Jesus is separate from the vine. Is that funny? Should we boast against them? Definitely not! Matter of fact, they are as lost as the Gentiles, we must pray for them as well as all people to come to God.
Calling yourself messianic doesn't make a unconverted Jew think of you Jewish still. The title is merely for other Christians to acknowledge you have either Jewish background or you go to some messianic church/synagogue. The apostles even identified to Christians of all kinds that out there is Jews and Gentiles who will persecute us, what does that make us if we aren't them? A whole new people, a holy priesthood, a holy nation before God!

In the books of Exodus and Deuteronomy; the Lord is addressing His people Israel.
The Children of Israel were to keep the feasts of the LORD.
Christians are not commanded to keep the Jewish Feasts.
And if one wants to keep the Jewish Feasts; then they must go to Jerusalem. Since Jerusalem is the place where God chose to place His Name (Deut. 16:2,6,7,11,15,16) and (2 Chron. 30:1,2,3,5,11,13,14,21,26).

What a demonstration of ignorance of the Christian beginnings. Without the Messianic Jews, (Torah observant Jews with faith in Messiah) you would not have your Christ centered Church.

Wow, insulting and misjudging really necessary? I wasn't saying that the early church didn't start with Jews, I was stating that the title messianic is not necessary for anyone to be called. We are called to be in one body, one mind, one baptism. It's not just against the term messianic, I say the same for people who say 'Baptist Christians' or 'Methodist Christians'. It makes us look divided and confused, and God is not the author of confusion! We are neither Jews or Gentiles, we are a new creation in Christ. Born again believers.

If you want to see insulting, look up a few posts what you said. I hope not everybody at your church has your attitude toward the people you are hosting, that are there to help you understand Passover, by the way.

If you are so humble and meek, why are you posting all your disdain for things Jewish on a thread for those who honor Passover? Please read thoroughly in my post, you will find in it my opinion written within the post. Starting at "I'm sorry I just don't like that title messianic."
Look...if I think it's weird, should I lie and say it's not? How do you even know if I ain't from a family with a Jewish background? Maybe german ashkenazi grandparents? Let's say if I were, I don't believe one bit that they are even true Jewish. Let's say if I weren't, would it matter? Whether Jew or Gentile there is no distinction in Christ. In my opinion, I honestly think there is no pure Jew. But could I be wrong? And please don't assume something in my post that isn't there.
I honestly believe all people in Christ is one. You, if you are a believer then you should be one with the body. If I am a believer, in which I am, then I would be with body. Identity of being Jewish doesn't matter! Either way we aren't going to be keeping the same bodies...

Chosen is right that the Lord did tell them that three of the feasts MUST be held at the place of God's choosing
Deuteronomy 16
16 Observe the month of Aviv and celebrate the Passover of the Lord your God, because in the month of Aviv he brought you out of Egypt by night. 2 Sacrifice as the Passover to the Lord your God an animal from your flock or herd at the place the Lord will choose as a dwelling for his Name. 3 Do not eat it with bread made with yeast, but for seven days eat unleavened bread, the bread of affliction, because you left Egypt in haste—so that all the days of your life you may remember the time of your departure from Egypt. 4 Let no yeast be found in your possession in all your land for seven days. Do not let any of the meat you sacrifice on the evening of the first day remain until morning.
5 You must not sacrifice the Passover in any town the Lord your God gives you 6 except in the place he will choose as a dwelling for his Name. There you must sacrifice the Passover in the evening, when the sun goes down, on the anniversary[a] of your departure from Egypt. 7 Roast it and eat it at the place the Lord your God will choose. The Festival of Weeks

God repeats over and over in that passage that these are to be done ONLY at the place of God's choosing. God does NOT say they can do them any where else.

why don't you just go out and breadk the sixth Commandment, or the seventh Dommandment or even the eighth Commandment and then come back here and tell us how God has blessed you for killing, committing adultery and stealing.

Do those who disregard and break the Laws intentionally have eternal life?

But to answer your post, please show me where I have ever said that keeping the Law saves us. What I have said is that thowse who live a life of disregard for the Law do not receive eternal life. This is what Christ said...

Rev 22:14 Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city.
Now please explain to us how we are no longer obliged to keep the Commandments. Please explain why Mat 19:17 and Rev 22:14 no longer apply.

Mat 13:41 The Son of Man will send out His angels, and they will gather out of His kingdom all things that offend, and those who practice lawlessness,
Mat 13:42 and will cast them into the furnace of fire. There will be wailing and gnashing of teeth.
Sounds to me like anyone who does not live by the Law but rather practices lawlessness is in for a rough time.
But please do explain to us why God gives eternal life to those who commit sin, those who break His holy Law.

Christ, the Word, the I AM, has been consistent from before time began to this present day and will be forever into the future...
Heb 13:8 Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever.
He does not institute Laws, have people put to death for disobeying them and then say "Oops, my bad, let's just forget all this and do something else". Christ does not make mistakes and have to come up with "salvage" plans. The Father and Christ began this plan from before time began and have continued in it without deviation.
