“Speak ye unto all the congregation of Israel, saying…. they shall take to them every man a lamb, according to the house of their fathers, a lamb for an house: …Your lamb shall be without blemish, a male …..ye shall take it out from the sheep…and the whole assembly of the congregation of Israel shall kill it in the evening.

And they shall take of the blood,……. And they shall eat the flesh in that night, roast with fire, and unleavened bread; and with bitter herbs they shall eat it. …

….And thus shall ye eat it; with your loins girded, your shoes on your feet, and your staff in your hand; and ye shall eat it in haste:

it is the LORD's passover.

For I will pass through the land of Egypt this night, and will smite all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, both man and beast; and against all the gods of Egypt I will execute judgment:

….and when I see the blood, I will pass over you, and the plague shall not be upon you to destroy you, when I smite the land of Egypt.

And this day shall be unto you for a memorial;and ye shall keep it a feast to the LORD throughout your generations; ye shall keep it a feast by an ordinance for ever.”
‭‭Exodus‬ ‭12:3-14‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“For the law having a shadow of good things to come, and not the very image of the things, can never with those sacrifices which they offered year by year continually make the comers thereunto perfect.”
‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭10:1‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“For all the prophets and the law prophesied until John.”
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭11:13‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“Speak ye unto all the congregation of Israel, saying…. they shall take to them every man a lamb, ….Your lamb shall be without blemish, a male …..ye shall take it out from the sheep

“The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world.”
‭‭John‬ ‭1:29‬ ‭KJV‬‬

…and the whole assembly of the congregation of Israel shall kill it in the evening. “

“And straightway in the morning the chief priests held a consultation with the elders and scribes and the whole council, and bound Jesus, and carried him away, and delivered him to Pilate.

….And Pilate answered and said again unto them, What will ye then that I shall do unto him whom ye call the King of the Jews? And they cried out again, Crucify him. Then Pilate said unto them, Why, what evil hath he done? And they cried out the more exceedingly, Crucify him.

And so Pilate, willing to content the people, released Barabbas unto them, and delivered Jesus, when he had scourged him, to be crucified.”
‭‭Mark‬ ‭15:1, 9, 12-15‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“And they shall take of the blood,……. And they shall eat the flesh in that night, roast with fire, and unleavened bread; and with bitter herbs they shall eat it. …”

“it is the LORD's passover….

“For even Christ our passover is sacrificed for us: therefore let us keep the feast, not with old leaven, neither with the leaven of malice and wickedness; but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth.”
1 Corinthians‬ ‭5:7-8‬ ‭

“And this day shall be unto you for a memorial;and ye shall keep it a feast to the LORD”

For I have received of the Lord that which also I delivered unto you, That the Lord Jesus the same night in which he was betrayed took bread: and when he had given thanks, he brake it, and said, Take, eat: this is my body, which is broken for you: this do in remembrance of me.

After the same manner also he took the cup, when he had supped, saying, This cup is the new testament in my blood: this do ye, as oft as ye drink it, in remembrance of me.

For as often as ye eat this bread, and drink this cup, ye do shew the Lord's death till he come.

Wherefore whosoever shall eat this bread, and drink this cup of the Lord, unworthily, shall be guilty of the body and blood of the Lord.

But let a man examine himself, and so let him eat of that bread, and drink of that cup. For he that eateth and drinketh unworthily, eateth and drinketh damnation to himself, not discerning the Lord's body.

For this cause many are weak and sickly among you, and many sleep.”
‭‭1 Corinthians‬ ‭11:23-30‬ ‭KJV‬‬

what if we just started hearing and believing and acting in the belief that forms with Gods word through Christ in the gospel ?

How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? ….

So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.”
‭‭Romans‬ ‭10:14, 17‬ ‭

“For the Father judgeth no man, but hath committed all judgment unto the Son: …..Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.”
‭‭John‬ ‭5:22, 24‬ ‭

Thanks for reminding us that the Lord gave us His Son, to save us from our sins.

We have the blessed words of the Lord to teach us. In the old testament, the teaching is done through fleshly symbolic teaching, in the new testament those same teachings are given to us in the spirit.

“Seeing then that we have such hope, we use great plainness of speech: and not as Moses, which put a vail over his face, that the children of Israel could not stedfastly look to the end of that which is abolished:

but their minds were blinded: for until this day remaineth the same vail untaken away in the reading of the old testament; which vail is done away in Christ. But even unto this day, when Moses is read, the vail is upon their heart.”
‭‭2 Corinthians‬ ‭3:12-15‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“Now of the things which we have spoken this is the sum: We have such an high priest, who is set on the right hand of the throne of the Majesty in the heavens; a minister of the sanctuary, and of the true tabernacle, which the Lord pitched, and not man.

For if he were on earth, he should not be a priest, seeing that there are priests that offer gifts according to the law: who serve unto the example and shadow of heavenly things, as Moses was admonished of

God when he was about to make the tabernacle: for, See, saith he, that thou make all things according to the pattern shewed to thee in the mount.

But now hath he obtained a more excellent ministry, by how much also he is the mediator of a better covenant, which was established upon better promises.”

[QUOTE=".

‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭8:1-2, 4-6‬ ‭KJV‬‬[/QUOTE] The reality of what Christ did is in the new covenant, the reality is a better principle than the fleshly symbols, but we must not forget that the God of the OT is the same God as the God of the NT. Christ is in Genesis as Christ is in the four gospels. God does not change, only the covenants changed. It is explained in Matthews 5:17.

Matthews 5:17: Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil.
