if anybody likes to recall past decades why they were different and not different and what happened and how things looked then and how people did different things each day /each decade had certain happenings and before and after changes then..The 1960s and 1970s and 1980s ..I saw the 90s as a time of changes especially after 1993 or 4 and then by the end compromises from previous standards happened then..[I realize not all call a thing a compromise] But one thing got weak [depending] was good moral values or was lost in the shuffle of things..Tell us what you saw and questions I wrote above [whatever it be] .It can be interesting to share or discuss or add comments of it. The 1970s was cool times for me though it was not perfect .I was a minor [boy] that the whole time watching cartoons and good ole movies and walked to a big store a lot after school etc and played with biddies down the streets etc/ I liked my city block and kind of miss it .It was in the big city of LA [CA] and back then not as much of the crimes we have today.

I'm surprised no one has answered this. I loved growing up as a boy in the 70's. Everyone seemed so friendly and down to earth back then. I mean strangers would be polite and start a friendly conversation with you and wish you well. It was easy to make friends. We all had to either play outside or watch tv because there were no video games or internet lol and there were only like 6 channels that you could watch lol.

The 80's is my next favorite decade. I was lucky enough to grow up with all the great movies and music from that decade (Top Gun, Star Wars trilogy, National Lampoon, Ferris Beuller, E.T., Risky Business, Karate Kid, etc... :)

The late 2000's were the worst years for me. Family members getting cancer, close relatives dying, I don't even want to go into it. :(

I apologize for not seeing this first time around :)

I came along in the mid-70s, but, as a musician, I really appreciate the music from that decade more than any other. For me, the lyrics were the best during that decade and the musicians were truly gifted, not electronically enhanced.

In the 70s and 80s, I don't recall needing as much STUFF to be content as kids seem to need now. And we certainly didn't expect our parents to entertain us. We were encouraged to think for ourselves. If I would have dared to tell my parents that I was bored, they could certainly have found something for me to do to help out. :) But, I don't think this is the fault of kids. So many parents would rather buy things for their kids now than invest time in them....sad....

The 80s were fun...the movies, the music, the clothes..even the BIG HAIR :D

The 90s brought tremendous change to my life in amazing ways. This was my decade of growth. Wow..it was tough, but sooo worth it.

The 2000s+ have helped me to appreciate my God more than ever. While He has made me stronger in more ways than I can type here, He has also taught me that I don't have to be as strong as I thought. He wants to carry more than I tend to want to let go of. I'm still learning. :) Hope I never stop.
