Liberal Theology always leans towards ordaining women as well as homosexuals and other forbidden groups.
Liberalism is an arch enemy of God's Word ...always questioning it, doubting it, making ungodly allowances...etc.
What's a pulpit? Does it have to be in a church building? An actual wooden thing you are standing behind? What's a flock? Is it more than 2 people who are gathered together?
I have never heard of a woman pastor who took authority over a man - they have only ever preached that all should be accountable to Jesus Christ. Never heard of one who interrupted or pushed aside a man while he was teaching or preaching to "ursurp his authority".
I have never ceased to talk about Jesus to anyone in my hospital or hospice rounds. Or even mixed bible studies or support groups. Men and women both. There was no man who was not sidetracked by the fact that I was a woman and forgot about Jesus. They were touched by the truth about his love for them.
If a woman is anointed to spread the word, usually that word penetrates deeply into the heart of the one it was given to. It really is not about the instrument God uses, it is about the power of His word.
I probably could have used the title "pastor" being ordained, but I chose not to. I just shared his word wherever God put me and to whomever he put with me. He loved to put me around hurting and sick people. In those cases, the title Chaplain was used. But really, what's the difference? The Word is the Word, and the ones who hear and respond are those whose hearts are open to the Word. They don't care whose mouth it comes from.
