So I'm to believe that the God I worship is a black and white God with no in between....no character traits that allow for anything in between? Ok...I guess.
And the blood of Jesus covers me for neutralizing an arrogant pastor who attempts to steal the harmless joy of innocent children. You see? It works both ways. Funny isn't it?

What is there to argue lol We all survived it and we all ended up figuring out it isnt true (which some of us were most likely pretty upset about) but we are all alive

Where is it written that it's ok for parents to lie to their children about Santa Claus and magical flying reindeer? I'm pretty sure that God has said that He hates ALL magic in His word and that we are for the most part never supposed to lie.
Like I said though, the pastor should have talked to the parents, not the children.
Unless of course, the children are ready to hear the truth... but that is left for the Holy Spirit to lead someone.
Rules stand.. He just made the white a little wider with Jesus..but theres still no gray zone or are you gonna tell me God allows compromise? He is just and righteous.. he doesnt like evil. But If you see it different im fine with it too. Your getting a coffee and a hug anyways. ((huuuugs))
How do you know you haven't or won't lie to your children? Careful because of that whole measure you use thing. There are lots of ways to lie.

That's why this silly thread is so long, and so heated.
A lot of people have very different opinions.
Since when did the story of Santa become lying rather than a fun, endearing fable that helps teach children about the joys of giving while encouraging good behavior? I guess we should skip Santa and start teaching three year olds what Cain did to Abel.
The funny think Max is that every child is different....every circumstance is different. People just wanna put everyone else in their own little square of black white and leave all the pretty colors of life out of the picture.

So you like to pose random hypothetical questions. What we're discussing is simply a lie that has gotten out of hand over the centuries. Will I lie to my children if I ever have children? I will try not to of course. If I do lie by accident, I will simply repent to the Lord and He will forgive me. What's your point here? You surely aren't helping your case.
Yes and people are free to state their opinions and discuss them. I just wanted to add that way of thinking in, sometimes people read it and try to see things from different points of view and make up their mind with the pros and cons
What if you don't know you lied or forget? The point is that people should get off their high horse about santa. Not a big deal on the whole scheme of things. Next we're gonna start hearing about how Santa is so close to the spelling of Satan.
