It's been about a little over a week since I told my husband I was filing for divorce. I felt confident in the lords leading when I did this but still wanted more and more confirmation. After having to hang up on him because he wouldn't stop yelling at me, he called me back to discuss his property. I've been with him for 8 yrs and 15 minutes after he finds out he's getting divorced all he's concerned about are his movies. I did not fight him on them but he is insisting that he comes to my apt to get them. When I said Id rather take them elsewhere he threatened to make things difficult. I did not respond. There is no way I will let him in my apt even accompanied. My 130lbs is not match for his 400lbs and he has been violent in the past. He is also unpredictable and impulsive.
We don't have anything really. We have a couple pieces of furniture and some appliances, but I'm afraid he's going to make a scene if I don't do exactly what he says. I will not allow him to force me to do anything, but I'm worried about what he might do.
I'm also very angry. I have always been gentle and kind to him and yet he's calling me rude and condescending because I'm non-reactive. As an illustration, I see myself slapping him upside the head saying, "******, can't you see that I'm worth it?". The lord has done a lot in me about self-worth, but I feel like I may be trying to prove my worth to him somehow.
