I am asking are people spending too much time in here would anyone like to actualy step into the field and do some of God"s work ? what do you believe ? are you hiding your talents ? what are you going to give account to jesus christ ? , when he replies away with you workers of iniquity I never knew you .
 
This is the work of GOD: that you believe into the son of GOD. Love is not doing evil to one's neighbor. I really don't have to be out doing anything as long as I'm walking in faith and not hurting my neighbor.

People who think they have to be out working to please GOD are IMO no different that those seeking to be justified by law.

Are you spending too much time here? Is that the Lord's conviction upon you? Why impose your feelings of guilt upon others? Is writing not an accepted form of communicating God's Word? Perhaps some are called for this type of service and not you?
Workers of iniquity are reserved for liars and hypocrits...those devoid of God's Spirit.

In here, speaking of cc, it is cybernetically possible to reach out to virtually any who visit this site, so it's similar to a field of work, this is people interacting with people here, which is also in the world. too much time in here though may be a problem for some of us.
 
Apostol2013...try not to let it get to you if you feel Christians are spending too much time on the site. Christians visit the site for different reasons. I would go to the yahoo, MSN and People magazine sites...then I really got sick of reading about celebrities and arrogant reality stars. I asked the Lord to give me Christian sites to visit, so I could read and interact in more positive and spiritual news. On crosswalk.com I have been blessed to read some articles that have literally changed my life for the better and this site allows me to chat about the Bible, which is something I love to do. This year I am in the country of Tajikistan, far away from home and friends, so discovering this site has helped me a great deal. I still spend my personal time with the Lord. You just never know what people are going through. It's better to visit this site then being addicted to porn sites or the silly celebrity sites people can get caught up in.
 
Im emphasising this thread to implicate the truth upon as many that will receive it i would rather be in front of a crowd that they the lost experience first hand God's power not just mere words . . I have no convictions but I have been touched.by God to deliver the rememberance of raw gospel but i rather wanted to hear inteligeable scriptural feedback as i love seeing the brethren minds at work but let it be for edification and not fot stumbling peace of christ be with you
 
There are some of us who are unable to "get out there" as you say, and this is one way of keeping grounded in the Word of God. There are many who go to places like this who are not Christian and how do we know who will be helped and who won't. I also have my own site that is basically my testamony and hoping it will help others who are or have been in similar circumstances that our AWESOME God has lifted me out of. you can visit there if you would like at Beanied648.com. when you get there it is titled Hope Arising. Online ministry seems the way forward these days. When you go onto forums like yahoo answers and places like this you will find people are wanting answers. It's anonymous so people are more open about their faiths and personal life.
For that reason we can reach out more :)

I could use the internet for porn, checking out the latest news on a famous celebrity or sitting idly using facebook. Instead of using the internet for ungodly things I choose to use it for Godly things. Using the internet for ministry can reach to the world. :)

So yes I am doing God's work :)

And then there are some of us who st-stu-stutter so when we stammer in our speech we are not taken serious...not that we're takin that serious here either :)

I have a great time here on Christian Chat. I do other things, too.
 
We are in a modern world, why not spend time in this modern world of communication? Isn't Jesus the today tomorrow and yesterday? Sounds like you have convictions my brother. If so, let them be for you only. don't lay upon people your own convictions. If not? you must of been on here for a long while yourself to notice people spending more time here.

Anyways. CC is the new digital Church. were people come here from all over the world to have fellowship, and to communicate, and to share what god is doing for them. So if spending a lot of time on here is bad? then I'm sure God would convict those who feel badly. But many people here does the work of God, I have seen the gospel preached here, prayers been answered, even the odd miracle or 2. So this site is a good place to be and to spend a lot of time here right?
 
I understand your concerns, OP, and in some cases you might be right.

However, I know with my physical disabilities CC fills a large void in my life. I do volunteer work in long term care for 6 hours a week, encouraging the disabled and elderly. I am leading a Bible study introducing non-Christians to Jesus. More than that is just too physically wearing for me.

So the other hours, I am happy to visit this and some other internet sites, and do ministry here. I pray for those with needs, I try and be a witness for Christ. I also try and encourage those who are suffering that God is with them.

The work of God needs to be done. But in my internet work, I have led people to Christ from Tibet, England and South Africa. I have helped those in my own country and the US. I have met Christians from around the world, who are engaged in internet ministry.

I truly believe that the spread of the gospel can be great through the internet and sites like CC. God will use Balaam's donkey to do his will, and he will certainly use a site like ChristianChat to accomplish his purposes.

I am glad you posted this. We do need to be reminded to be about God's business. I hope and pray that he who has ears to hear will hear and be inspired to serve Christ in whatever capacity he leads!
 
Lets not judge each other but all of you are blessed in jesus name i see i was asking only to see your viewpoints as it is very important to God's work i am a field worker working towards the future of our heritage in the kingdom for the future of the kingdom in jesus

I wish I had more time here and didn't have to rush thru it. I don't begrudge people who spend a lot of time here, but I know there's a few who do so because they think God stopped working with humans in the field 1,943 years ago. We're all jus' killing time.
 
I myself feel my responsibility to be a faithful Stewart in God's house , i woke up today studied prayed got blessed in the world it is awful out there the fig tree is ready to sprout forth its shoot , then what are you going to do ,as me and my house we will serve the Lord in grace and truth fully and forever more
