I was just reading this morning about Muslims in Kenya holding people hostage, unless they could say a Muslim prayer and then killing the ones who did not, and then I found this link on a terrible terrorist attack on a church in Pakistan.

Suicide attack on Pakistani church kills 78 people - StamfordAdvocate

They blame "American drone strikes." Anyone know anything about that?

It seems like the persecution of Christians is getting worse everywhere. Or maybe it is just coming to my attention more.
 
I just heard the death toll has risen to the 80's. As a friend said, "Where is the outrage?"
 
The persecution seems to be getting worse I hear a lot more of it now.I't is always something I wish never happened anywhere.Christ said it would happen and now it is.Matthew 24 verse 9 Then they will deliver you to tribulation and will kill you,and you will be hated by all nations because of my name.
 
Persecution is tribulation for Christians then where does pre=trib fit in?

I also go with it doesn't. Why should Western Christians today escape what our brothers, sisters, and other relatives have endured in other countries and other times, for the past 2000 years (and more, if you go back to the times of Israel). If God didn't want us to prepare for the tribulation, why would He tell us about it?
 
I dont believe this attack was done against 'Christians' but they chose a church as their next strike. They have bombed, embassys, naval ships, buildings, among other numerous locations. From what I understand, the extremist muslims very much hate the fancy western lifestyle and the spread of western influence to their lands. They believe in simplistic living and a focus on Allah. That is only one of the reasons but the main reasons they hate the USA so much. They believe that this is an act of martyr- an extreme act but one that their God called them to do.

I should say it has been the way it is since almost 1400 years ago. Technological advances though, expose these news more and more, lead to our awareness.

Christ also said that those who desire to live a godly life, will be persecuted.

at least (for now), he does much better than obama (Christians' sake perspective).

because nobody wants to speak the truth about islam, i guess.
i experienced 'dictator' for 32 years under a president called Soeharto. although he was a muslim, just like most dictator (closest to him i guess would be Husni Mubarak), he cares more about his money and power more than his religion. in Soeharto's regime, anybody who dare to sound provocation to others that may cause rifts, are gonna be jailed or arrested. There was no terror to Christians on his regime. Although there are still unfair preference to muslims in some aspects of life, it is clear for any Christians back then that their lives and rights to worship are much more guaranteed back then.
Most muslims group that was shut on his period, though, are much more free these days, thanks to this coward so-called-democratic leader.

What do you mean? Are you saying you have never heard of the unmanned unauthorised drone strikes by the US in Pakistan (Who are a US ally) ?

I thought this was common knowledge around the world.
