That is a point I never thought of.......and it is an excellent one.Yup. They're hypocrites, strong in the use of doublethink.

Why is this significant?![]()
The brain of the mortal body is designed to know and understand life in this terrestrial. The Brain of the mortal body cannot understand the things of the kingdom. It is impossible for the mortal brain to know and understand life in the celestial, just as it is impossible for a fish brain to know and understand life on land. Thus, it is only the Spirit Being that can understand the things of the kingdom. Selah
Please go back and read my other posts on the significance of the presence of the isotope Xenon 129 on Earth and on Mars.
Briefly stated, it's evidence nuclear weapons have been detonated on both planets. On earth, these detonations have been restricted to five hundred explosions or so (in atmosphere). America alone detonated over three hundred before atmospheric testing ended. We are paying a terrible price for these test to this day (*). On Mars, the amount of the isotope everywhere suggests a massive thermo-nuclear holocaust occurred sometime in Mars' past.
The only possibilities one can consider is either that the Martians engaged in a nuclear exchange thus destroying themselves by atomic suicide or that a third party rained death upon the planet. Consideration of that latter scenario gives most people a headache.
On Earth the ramifications of these facts ought to give pause to God's offer of peace and immortal life in the blood of Christ Jesus. Unfortunately most people on this planet are too enamored with torture and murder of our fellow human beings to consider the possibility of planetary suicide. The Bible suggests this very eventuality is in our future.
Ought not these facts alone be sufficient to drive us to REPENT of our SIN and beg God for forgiveness protection and mercy?
that's me, hollering from the choir loft...
(*) Other components of nuclear atmospheric testing are strontium 89 and strontium 90. Both have a half-life of fifty thousand years and a chemical affinity for calcium. Following a nuclear explosion strontium particles filter down to the earth in the form of radioactive fallout. Strontium is consumed by cattle and passed to humans in milk. It also percolates into human breasts by way of our diet. Prior to nuclear testing in the 1950's human breast cancer was not diagnosed at the extreme levels it is today. There is a direct causative link between cancers today and nuclear fallout from the 1950's.
Cessation of atmospheric testing by every nation on earth is directly related to this FACT. (Look it up)
Strontium doesn't go away - ever. Refusal to acknowledge the FACT of radioactive fallout on Mars and Earth isn't a mind game except in the minds of people who prefer to bury their minds in ignorance.
Agreed. Just a total waste of resources. But then we should never expect wise decisions from those who are in government. Almost every decision from the top is plainly stupid. And it just goes on and on.Waste of money and brain power and for what? People are hungry, cold, sick, unemployed, and homeless and we spend money on such foolishness.
Agreeing that the answers to such questions will be theoretical until science discovers solutions, why in the world would you leap to an illogical conspiracy theory as the solution? "the Martians engaged in a nuclear exchange"? Seriously.I think you're trying to yank our chain.
Why is it that the following explanation does not make more since to you than "the Martians engaged in a nuclear exchange"?

The team's method is called static mass spectrometry, and it's good for detecting gases or isotopes that are present only in trace amounts. Although static mass spectrometry isn't a new technique, its use on the surface of another planet is something only SAM has done.
Overall, the analysis agreed with earlier studies, but some isotope ratios were a bit different than expected. When working on an explanation for those subtle but important differences, the researchers realized that neutrons might have gotten transferred from one chemical element to another within the surface material on Mars. The process is called neutron capture, and it would explain why a few selected isotopes were more abundant than previously thought possible.
In particular, it looks as if some of the barium surrendered neutrons that got picked up by xenon to produce higher-than-expected levels of the isotopes xenon-124 and 126. Likewise, bromine might have surrendered some of its neutrons to produce unusual levels of krypton-80 and krypton-82.
These isotopes could have been released into the atmosphere by impacts on the surface and by gas escaping from the regolith, which is the soil and broken rocks of the surface.
"SAM's measurements provide evidence of a really interesting process in which the rock and unconsolidated material at the planet's surface have contributed to the xenon and krypton isotopic composition of the atmosphere in a dynamic way," said Conrad.
The atmospheres of Earth and Mars exhibit very different patterns of xenon and krypton isotopes, particularly for xenon-129. Mars has much more of it in the atmosphere than does Earth.
"The unique capability to measure in situ the six and nine different isotopes of krypton and xenon allows scientists to delve into the complex interactions between the Martian atmosphere and crust," said Michael Meyer, lead scientist for the Mars Exploration Program at NASA Headquarters in Washington. "Discovering these interactions through time allows us to gain a greater understanding of planetary evolution."
