Whoever writes academic books. Yes, we know you have an education, you don't have to prove it by using ridiculous academic language instead of everyday English! (Honestly, it's like they're school children, trying to one-up each). Have they never heard of the KISS concept (not the band, Keep It Simple Stupid)? I love high-concept thinking but academic language really busts my boiler.

Exactly. How am I supposed to learn a new concept when they're using academic language that I can barely comprehend?
 
when I take the time to write up an explanation, and suddenly overwhelmed by laziness - stop. I'm so annoyed with myself.
