Petpieve of mine.

Bulls were sacrificed in the old testament due to the people's sins.

But we do not have to sacrifice a bull any more because Jesus Christ, himself became our sacrifice.

Hebrews 7:27...Who needed not daily, as those high priests, to offer up sacrifice, first for his own sins, and then for the people's: for he did once, when he offered up himself.

Now we know that we no longer have to go out, find a bull, and sacrifice it. But what we do, we "shoot the bull" during church.

We want the church to pray for our lost love ones to come to church, to hear the word so they can become save, but when they do come to church, can they hear the preacher preach the word, or do they just hear the congregation shooting the bull back and forth, while the preacher is trying to preach?

there might be a good congregation within 100 miles of you. there might not be.

Pet peeve of mine is people thinking we should bring the unsaved to church so the pastor can lead them to Christ rather than the pastor training and teaching his congregation to do this.

my biggest pet pieve are people that think the roman empire fell in 476 when the empire was clearly split into 2 states, east and west. when the west imploded all power left just shifted to the east and continued as usual. while latter calling themselves Byzantines we know who they really were.
it just makes me sick!
