I have a phone interview w/ unemployment today at 1pm EST.
I am always very nervous to speak with them only because they are usually very very rude.
My job fired me because I couldn't get my leave of absence papers to them in time as I had a skiing accident. They had wanted me to get the papers in by March 15 but being that i'm on medicaid, I couldn't find an appointment until April 17. My manager told me I may get terminated bc of that and low and behold, yes I was fired on March 31. Apparently they told unemployment the reason they fired me was bc of misconduct.
There was no misconduct. When I worked, I always got praised by how well I worked and everyone wanted me to work w/ them. I never got in trouble and got taken to the managers office either. I was a highly praised worker.
So, I'm just afraid of talking w/ someone from unemployment. Please pray the person I speak w/ isn't rude but I also need to remember to ONLY answer their questions and to not explain myself further bc they don't want to hear it. <--- I have a difficult time w/ that though.
