OK, itoreHis gets the nod for this idea mutating, or, let's not say that, germinating. Yeah, that's better.

What I would like to see done here is a bible story told with pictures. Let's not leave anything out, OK :)

How about Isaac and Abraham? Is that a story we can do in photos?

Singles need FAITH like Abraham's. Who knows? Let's not expect it/ dwell on it, but, maybe, that is ALL God wants to have us HAVE to be ready to marry :)

IF this is successful, I will do more. So, let's make it a success.

===============--------==================
Abraham would be the first picture, right? Something like Abraham hearing God's voice.

OK, who wants to start? OH, ok, I will :)

We read from Genesis chapter 22:

Verse 1 : "...God tested Abraham. He said to him, “Abraham!”Here I am,” he replied.

Then God said, “Take your son, your only son, whom you love—Isaac—and go to the region of Moriah. Sacrifice him there as a burnt offering on a mountain I will show you.

Now, what can be the next photo? :)

Please, use a captions for your photo from Scripture, like I did. :)

Also, you can use more than ONE picture for your contribution to our photo story, but, no more than two pics in one post, please :)

Lot was Abraham's niece and He lived in Sodom and Gomorrah that was very wicked, so God decided to punish these people.

However he gave Lot and his family a chance to escape, but with the clear instruction to not look back. However Lot's wife looked back and turned into a pillar of salt.

Genesis 19:26
But Lot's wife looked back, and she became a pillar of salt.

So whenever God calls us out of a situation or rescues us, let us not look back at the past. We must move forward, unlike the Israelities who began to complain in the desert about the comfort of Egypt.

The promised land awaits. Our goal is Christ. We must press on :) Don't look back.

PS - Oops GreenNNice, this was a story about Isaac and Abraham. Sorry.... I just added Lot .. :( Forgive me.

Genesis 11-22
But the angel of the Lord called to him from heaven and said, “Abraham, Abraham!” And he said, “Here I am.” [SUP]12 [/SUP]He said, “Do not lay your hand on the boy or do anything to him, for now I know that you fear God, seeing you have not withheld your son, your only son, from me.”

PS- I would have loved to add the Rembrandt... but I find this more touching :)

Ok, italyrachel, I'm thinking, you misunderstood my OP (opening post). :D

That's OK, and, yes, you're contributions are grand, poor ole Lot's wife, if anyone can be said to be 'salty,' it's her :D OK, bad joke, but......

What I want next after my first picture--and, I can be to blame, as, I, perhaps, put too much detail in the OP, but, I will lead--as He leads me, of course :)--and say that the next picture should correspond to the Genesis 22 story. So, can anyone post something that is like this next green highlighted part of the story:

Some time later God tested Abraham. He said to him, “Abraham!”“Here I am,” he replied.

2Then God said, “Take your son, your only son, whom you love—Isaac—and go to the region of Moriah. Sacrifice him there as a burnt offering on a mountain I will show you.”
3Early the next morning Abraham got up and loaded his donkey......

np, milady, as italianrachel was confused too but she figured it out, bless her heart, so, you can too. Besides, the Lord leads, and, "He is not the author of confusion" :)

OK, fen, here's what's to happen next in the story. (and all confusion blame is ALWAYS solely directed to my green brains :D )

Post a picture of Abraham loading up a donkey and, maybe, Isaac nearby. Here's how this is done.

Go to google.com and put in words 'Abraham donkey isaac'

Then, click on the 'images' tab. And, a zillion images will show up that you can pick from and, surely , something will be there of Abraham with a donkey, Post it with the verse below the photo . :)
Then, it's not your turn anymore :D

So, then, the next person after you posting can post a photo for the story of Abraham and Isaac walking up the mountain or what the Genesis 22 verses say is next.
