I've observed that there are plenty of Photography enthusiast on this site. Can we add a specific forum for this topic? I can see that this can also involved some tutorial threads for anyone who wants to start on the field, and those who are professionals can share their knowledge, too. Thanks!!!
 
I like this idea. I am not a ''professional'' photographer, but I do it as a side job. I would love to be able to give advice, tips, etc. to people that need it or want it.

I wish they would do something about phone users being able to add pics to the forum .. there is so
Much I'd love to teach about photography using photoshop and Corel pro photo editing software .. Teaching and empowering others.. Sometimes all it take menus a snap from a phone for someone to show me a step on a computer.. Or where to find things .. I put a request into the ops but haven't seen any changes in the forums to allow such options.. Hopefully that will be an advantage in the future for those of us working only from
Phones.. As of now , I am not able to share any pics.. it would be nice to be able to just copy and paste a photo in the forums . Or be able to send it to the ops for approval
 
Well, the mobile feature is new. And changes take time, and as they always remind us, money. So even if they want to make a change it may take a while. They may also be working on other things ahead of the suggestion you give. Or he may also still be working kinks out of the site upgrade. I know, for instance, when you change your avatar it doesn't show in chats, but it does in forums.

No, I think whoever put this site together did a fantastic job!! certainly not punk'n whatsoever and I realize such things take time.. and funding is also an issue .. hope my post didn't come across negatively.. Wasn't meant too :)

Nope, it was fine, just some people think that they give a suggestion and that the next day it should be implemented. They don't get its a suggestion, not a command. And they don't get that it takes time, work and money. I just wasn't sure if you were one of those people, haha.

And no new names or i won't respond =P Its ugly or nothing =P And i don't put my real name out in public use on the site. Only in private with people i feel comfortable with. =P

No, I'm not one Who gets testy with change , quite patient actually .. I've been watching Ken doing a beautiful job patiently working and waiting while the praise and worship team gathers formation and it's quite something!
takes good leaders and I appreciate the efforts just to be able to gather and get to do what we do now .. I imagine it took a lot of time and thought .. I've learned the kingdom of god is like a thousand years in one day for us .. :) it's all good

Abraham Lincoln was fond of asking, "if you call a tail a leg, how many legs does a horse have?" when someone answered "five", Lincoln would say, "no matter what you call it, a horse can't stand on its tail". So if this is a chat group, why does it look like a thread in a forum?
 
So a question ... I'm looking to buy another camera .. What's everyone using?
I'm trying to find one that will use a converter to fit my rebel EOS (cannon) lenses.. I hate to give my lenses up!!
But thinking about just buying another body too..

I guess I'm lost .. aren't the threads considered individual chat groups? I dont think I'm familiar with the difference .. Should it be labeled a blog maybe? I just saw the topic "photography" you know I got excited about it :)
 
Chat group is like our prophecy/visions one. They tend to be more permanent than threads. They are like a separate forum in some ways. Just click on chat groups and follow the prompts. You can let everyone join, or just invites, however you want to set it up.

I realize not everyone can do this, since our group is closed, but Powemm, note page 6 of Vancouver Island, how effortlessly Miri added those pics from England for us. can you even do that in a thread?

feel free to write her ... I'm sure she won't mind if you make the necessary changes you see need to be corrected ..
She would probably thank you for it :) I don't have a problem with where it is ..
but happy to join where ever it may go too :)
