I'd avoid those that teach from their experiences and the over use of anecdotes.

Leonard Ravenhill has a lot of good things to say.

As always, everything that a Pastor / Teacher teaches needs to examined in the light of the Scriptures (and the Holy Spirit) prayerfully, even as the Bereans did with Paul! Acts 17v10-12, 2Tim 2v15, 1John 2v27...

I would not recommend a bible teacher but that as a christian the Holy Spirit will lead you and guide you into all truth. Find a local bible believing church and get involved. youtube and tv programs can never replace the belonging to a local fellowship where God can develop your gifts and callings.
No such thing as a bible believing church.

again, this is not true.

if it were true, God would not have given teachers as one of the gifts for the edification of the church

I would strongly advise against sitting and letting something talk into your mind, that is a dangerous practice

you do not seem to know the truth yourself or you would quit telling people they do not need anyone to teach them

in fact, the Holy Spirit may lead people away from false teachers, but He will never tell someone they need no one.
I never respond to her, she is so way out. I don't have what it takes to deal with her. I just shake my head and pray no one takes her advice.
She is seriously misusing that passage.

Hey, so I was looking up Bible teachers. Would anyone here recommend a Bible teacher, preferably that have teachings online and also preferably have "through the Bible" studies?

I wouldn't mind, old, long-gone, Bible teachers, who have great commentaries too.

So far, I like and would recommend:

Les Feldick
Chuck Smith
J. Vernon McGee
Dr. David Jeremiah

I haven't read all their works, but so far they seem great, recommend me Bible teachers?
I recommend:
Paul,
Peter,
Jeremiah,
Moses,
Isaiah
Solomon,
Samuel,
John...

Jeremiah 17:5
This is what the Lord says:

“Cursed is the one who trusts in man,
who draws strength from mere flesh
and whose heart turns away from the Lord.

Jeremiah 17:7
“But blessed is the one who trusts in the Lord,
whose confidence is in him.

If you really looking for a person alive today I liked R.T. Kendell's "Total Forgiveness".

Dr. R. C. Sproul - https://renewingyourmind.org/ and https://www.ligonier.org/ (+ a number of other great theologians who are Ligonier "Teaching Fellows")

R.C. Sproul was founding pastor of Saint Andrew’s Chapel
Saint Andrew's is a confessional church.
Our confessional standards consist of the Westminster Confession of Faith and the Westminster Larger and Shorter Catechisms.
Saint Andrew's theology is "catholic" in that it reaffirms the doctrines of historic Christian orthodoxy such as those defined by the Apostles Creed

BIG RED FLAGS!!!!!

How is the Apostles Creed a big red flag?
Have you read it?
With what of it do you disagree?

Meh, with John MacArthur. He is ok, I can't to the squishy emotionalism.
And I'm no fan of Mr Swindol.
I however love Sproul and Zacharias.
ha!

when I see MacArthur I call BIG RED FLAGS

he is going to have a lot to answer for

Swindol bores me...half the gospel ...is it really the gospel?

What do you mean " big red flags". I mean I can't do the emotive stuff but I don't know what he says that is specifically wrong.
I knew a lady that was like that about Jesus, very emotional.
I personally don't know that love has much to do with emotions. I have never understood the delineation between head knowledge and heart knowledge. I hate it when that term is used because it means nothing.

ok I was having a little fun with Neb's big red flags in his post ;)

MacArthur is so anti the Holy Spirit that he wrote a book about it and held an entire conference on it...he has basically written off all who believe the spiritual gifts are for today as demonically inspired. he misquotes many things in said book to make his prejudiced and unbiblical points and basically spews hatred for anything he has not experienced himself. is that an exaggeration? well no. not if you happen to be familiar with what he wrote and the rebuttals that he mocks

someone will state he is not anti Holy Spirit, but his condemnation is sweeping and final. you cannot use the Holy Spirit or condemn all that another has experienced as demonic

that being said, much is wrong with certain churches that do practice spiritual gifts but we have had dozens of threads on that one and do not need another IMO, to be sure I don't want to participate in another

a person can do an awful lot in their flesh if their personality is a big one and Mac's is...a big confident one...nothing wrong with that if God has a hold on it...take Peter for example. big confident personality

I do not know why you are focused on emotions though, so can't answer that one

Boring don't bother me. Stopping short of the Gospel and robbing people who love God and want to see Jesus of their ability to tangibly connect with Jesus. We can hear Jesus when we read his word, we can touch him in our baptism, and we can touch him in his supper.
When I was younger I would say what ever you have to do to feel as though you are in communion with Jesus, even if you have to be baptized every day. Then I didn't realize that we can be baptized everyday by taking his supper every day, and that baptism is a one time deal, like a marriage ceremony. Why would anyone rob a believer of our only material contact with Jesus? To make communion with him nothing more than iconism is ... well I can only that it's evil.

I now understand your position. That helps. I agree no need to rehash the spiritual gifts arguments. I view that way different than anyone I have ever heard or talked to.
I will say this. The Holy Spirit is stl in business today.
