If I may be frank, the homosexual agenda has the loudest voice in this culture. To say that they ate the bullied is a bit untrue at this point. That is how this agenda has been forwarded. Playing the victim in order o sway public opinion towards the underdog and forcing tolerance while being intolerant to those who don't accept the agenda. I was once a stone code liberal on this issue specially being part of the LGBT community but when God redeemed me He brought light to my view. It is not about judgment. it is sad that today calling a spade a spade is a public offense. How dare we call sin sin? As I see it the church has made some mistakes in dealing with the issue making it out to be the worst of all sins from which there is no redemption. but just because some have went to extremes don't mean the best way to balance their response is to deny LGBT lifestyles are sinful. They are. but that isn't the conclusion of the story. All have sinned and fallen short of God's glory and accept blasphemy of the Holy Spirit no sin is unpardonable. Christ came to free us from sin. If we would but repent and believe. We don't have to apologize for upholding a biblical view of sexuality. That same biblical view should lead us in love and grace with the gospel on our tongues.
However, "Christian" Heterosexuals truly ALSO have to look upon it from their side (the LGBT side) and WITHOUT Prejudice otherwise would they be any better than were those who held The INQUISITION where so many innocents lost their lives under the control and manifesto of deranged Christian people with murder in their mind who sought to destroy those innocent lives because they thought they were doing God a favor!

If the GLBT community was able to get the same rights as their Heterosexual counterparts have in obtaining entitlements in marriage and other areas perhaps they would not need to be so vocal! But when they see people with high prejudice continuing to scorn and hate them for the way they are which is something even the most respected and knowledgeable of medical and psychiatric associations agree is not their fault, it has to surely hurt. However, I don't expect some people to understand or have a heart to understand.

And about swaying public opinion, people are now a lot more accepting of the plight of LBT people and that is why they are beginning to make headway in these areas of what they, as human beings, seek which is only just. No one should have to suffer under the iron hand of another for things they cannot help being regardless of what those who continue to think with an isolated 16th Century mentality would want to believe about them. And it Certainly IS about judgment! If it wasn't you and others would leave to God what is strictly within God's purview as in judging others instead of you wanting to do His job for Him which is something He cannot be amused with.

And about the LGBT lifestyle being sinful. I'll tell you what's really sinful by comparison. The Straight lifestyle where many millions of innocent babies are continuously being SLAUGHTERED Brutually and unmercifully by Heterosexuals through ABORTION. That is a far greater sin than any Homosexual could ever commit. And the recorded child abuse of parents towards their children is also reprehensible! And let's not forget the Divorce rate in this country alone. And what does God say about Divorce? You know what He says but yet many CHOOSE to remain silent on that and prefer to feel better about themselves such as by being condescending upon another as with the LGBT folks because they are a minority in this country. Think about it -- Facts are facts. And about the Biblical view of sexuality, you know if people truly upheld that view and were truly HONEST with themselves they would have absolutely no time to be looking into another's back yard as they would be so busy trying to correct their own inadequacies! So yes, let's just call a spade a spade. We truly need to at this point.

As it turns out, I find it convenient to state that I am EXTREMELY PREJUDICE...the bible is my guide for living, making decisions and defining how I am to conduct myself before God and the world. ANY organization, purported science, government, person... whatever... that promotes an agenda (thoughts or deeds) contrary to scripture is not standing on the same side of God's dividing line as I. Praise the Lord he has given me authority and a sound mind to JUDGE ALL THINGS and therefore recognize that by asserting to be attempting to "non-judgementally sit on the fence" you subject yourself to the same judgement...And I don't feel even a little bit bad about it.
By golly you would have been a High-Rated and PRIZED addition to those who conducted The Inquisition.

ppl can call Chaz a him all day long.
surgery changes nothing. a name change means nothing.
she is still a she.
and an unhappy she at that.

this is all confusion, it's all a deliberate attack from our enemy.

ex:
if person X is a drunk, no matter how much X cries all day and says their issue is because of childhood or genetics, X is still a drunk, and X needs to get sober.

it doesn't mean people aren't sympathetic, or not willing to help. and not that X shouldn't be validated as a suffering sinner.

it's that X's drunkenness can not and should not be validated.

same for any of this stuff.
Again, I will not judge him or anyone else. But one thing is for sure. God Will Surely Judge the Judgers At Their Appointed Time Who Chose To Not Act From Love But Instead From Hate Under the Auspices of Doing As God Would Want Them To Do. We'll just see who's right on that. And another thing, also seriously speaking, I would very much like for you to tell Chaz to his face what you are saying here about him and wait for his response.

The thing is it already happens way to much, most of those I have talked to have been beaten, rapped, dumped out into the streets by their parents, taunted by their classmates and many have one thing in common,in many cases this has done by those who claim to be Christian. Far too often they see the hypocrisy, they have seen it first hand and have been bitten by it. They see the oh so self righteous ones that lie, steal, gossip, glutenous,
drunken and as Jesus said words that in God's eyes are viewed as if one is a murderer. (Never mind that God says He hates these things also and that those who practice these things will not enter the kingdom of heaven either.) Never mind that Jesus also said to take the plank out of your eye before trying to remove the speck in your brothers eye. It does not mean that one is not to warn, but it is to be done in love.

Now your just making intentionally rude and insulting suppositions... offense noted... by me, my Lord and Father in Heaven.

I am getting quite personally offended by the recurring notion that homosexuals somehow deserve special consideration.... I know of PLENTY of people who have been beaten, rapped, dumped into the streets by parents, taunted by classmates including having these things done by people who claim to be Chriistian. I also know plenty of people who have received the full benefits of Christ Crucified and been healed from such personal injuries and pain. I am not offended by homosexuality but I am offended by homosexuals and their supporters who push a political and social agenda under the guise of Christian LOVE. Homosexuality has no race, nationality or tribal creed associated with it to claim "equal rights" under law... any more than suggesting people with red hair are being treated unfairly.God is not mocked and neither are his "mature" children fooled by such unbiblical ruse.

I have never said they deserve special treatment, nor did I say any thing about "equal rights under the law"
I do not agree with their political or social agenda. But they should be seen as being crated in the image of God,broken, fallen and in need of a savior who spread His hands and took a brutal beating, crowned with thorns, torn and mutilated beyond belief, nailed to a beam with spikes, pulled up in the air and then dropped into a hole that held the cross. He did it for them too because He loves them also and wants to set them free.

The content of your response is true... however, Sarah, it does appear for the audience that you ARE in collaborative agreement with HeavenlyWarrior who HAS said and DOES APPROVE such things. My recommendation... separate yourself.

The more I think about this the more I believe they are NOT doing us a favor by not recognizing that most of us that deal with this have very real mental and emotional problems that do go hand in hand with this. If they ignore these problems are they really doing us any good? If they ignore the underlying issues can it really do any good?

That's just the point: their version of "doing good" and yours are both diametrically opposed. You would rejoice in actual recovery; something that silences the hurt and confusion, whereas those of a more liberal bent think that recovery will come when the standards/labels/etc are chucked out the window.

I get so tired of hearing from our side that we somehow get off the hook for the things we do just because we have to deal with this. The Lord is not going to excuse us for our lies. We either lied earlier on or we are lying now. Many of us have not learned to forgive those that have hurt us,so many have issues of bitterness, anger, rage, envy and jealousy, and what does God tell us? We are to get rid of these things. Secular therapists rarely deal with these. And never mind the fact that we have hurt others, those of us that have been married have decieved our spouses and put them into situations that they should never have been in,and then we have the gall to throw a pity party because we have to deal with the consequences. And yes the Lord has dealt me with me on these, and the thing I am learning is that these things eat us up,these are the things that will kill us,mentally, emotionally and spirituality. We can not have peace with God,others or ourselves until we deal with these, and these need to be dealt with first. We need to repent of these things and seek His and others forgiveness first.

People from all walks of life deal with these feelings for various reasons, and things of this nature are never fully resolved until with have the fortune of meeting the Savior.

Nevertheless, I pray you and those who struggle as you do find something like that peace in this life.

Again, if there ever was a fundamental flaw of society today, it is that we try and fix through science or politics what only God and a loving community of believers can.

Thank you. I have learned that as He dealt with me on those issues He has given me more and more peace because I was no longer fighting Him on those things. So much so I can be content with where I am today. He has released me from the drugs and alcohol and the severe depressions. I no longer in the over whelming pain and my heart is no longer agitated like it once was. I am still in discomfort but it's OK,because He is with me and I can be content with that.

Many people think they are walking in love when they unite with the world with topics that dont mesh with Gods word. Just like the ones we are speaking of now. I hear a lot of defensivness about why people should uphold the rights for the LGBT and also the opposite too. But God will be the judge in the end. I do know that in Gods eyes sin is SIN and so, it makes no difference what, where or how its performed, for if its done, it needs to be cleansed and Jesus is the only one who can do that!
We are all in the same boat for that catagory and no one is exempt! So if it be out of love one decides to befreind one of these people or anyone who is lost, then great! But scripture says, that if we who know the word, then we need to be a good example and the one who really loves, should show that true love is being the best freind that we can be! How can we do that? But telling/showing them the Word and if we are in fear to do that for loosing the friendship, then it wasnt love in the first place, for perfect love casts out all fear.
God wants His children to come home and if we are His children, this should be in our hearts too. So if we know the truth and see someone who we know is walking or living a lie, do we not have a responsibility to tell them the truth? That is if we are bringing love into it as mentioned above so adimently!? We cannot say we love them and then not tell or do domething about it right? for, If we do, its not real love at all... And if we do this,, then for all those who talk of this love God will use his judement upon us as either cold, warm and hot people. Cold = those who dont walk at all in the Word and are just pretenders. God will say get away from me i dont even know you! Warm= Christians who think they are real, but put one foot iin the world and one foot in the kingdom and dont committ fully to God and for this God says He will spew them out, and the Hot= who are on fire for God who are fully committed to God and are willing to do all for HIm even willing to loose freinds and their life for His sake. for this He'll say, Well done my good and faithful servent! This is what we all need to think about before we do anything when thinking about sinning and the lost....

Why would any Christian consider them not to be authoritative

In referring to the American Psychological Association.

With all due respect, HeavenlyWarrior, (and I do respect you greatly) the APA is only authoritative in manners of psychological health. And even then, I would not trust them much further than I could wrestle any one of them.

Psychology has come a long way, but it's this same group of people who "decided" that homosexuality was a disease that needed to be cured in the first place, before they changed their minds about that. They've flip-flopped on so many issues Mitt Romney asked for his waffle back.

These are the same people who want to drug creative children so they wont color outside the lines. I'm not saying all psychiatrists are bad, or that the field of psychiatry is a false one. I have met many good therapists and doctors who have done great things for those who suffer with mental disorders. Just not sure I want to give them so much power that we change public policy based on what they say. I wouldn't give them any more voice than I would give any organization, such as a church or a social club.

God is still the ultimate authority on all things.

Amen.

This more or less tied in to what I was getting across in my first post. The APA's judgments are too volatile and to be considered actual science let alone a viable advocate of public policy.
