I've heard that King Charles' crown is so heavy, that it's starting to give him a sore neck: You see, this is just one of the many things that royalty has to put up with!!!

Conversely, Queen Camilla, has, on many occasions, I believe, "crowned" her husband, by thumping him in the head, which, of course, would have also resulted in his acquiring a sore neck!!

So one has to ponder the question: Does Charles' sore neck result from: His royal crown being too heavy, or, from his being "crowned" by his wife, when he gets a bit naughty, or both?!!!

This is a most important dilema on which one has to ponder!!!

So do you see, now, the reason why it's so important to have a King and a Queen, in this day and age?!!

I look forward to your careful and well thought through responses!!

Oh, and as the British say: "TALLY-HO!!" and "Don't spare the horses!"!!!!

And "Carry on: What?!!!"!!

Over, and out!!!!

Probably the answer you expect .......................... I really don't care...
THE MIRACLE IS: That the people of the UK still allow the "monarchy" to even exist, since it has nothing more than a ceremonial significance, and costs them a FORTUNE to maintain.

what does tally ho mean?

Its terribly tough being a royal didnt you know, heavy crowns, having silver spoons constantly in your mouth, everyone looking at you all the time trying to take photos and reporting on your every move and outfit change in the Australian Womans Weekly.....such a hard life!

I think the brits like having the monarchy because its like their national Disneyland or Vatican. They need a fantasy land. The catholics dont really want to give up the Pope either. They tithe to the RC church to maintain that tiny fiefdom too.

Sure, and we have our Hollywood.

I have often thought Britain keeps its royalty just to have something to gossip about, like people in the USA gossip about movie stars and politicians.

I believe that the expression "TALLY-HO" is an old British "Upper Class" silly saying, used by those who used to hunt foxes, and who would yell out this expression, when they saw a fox: (Jolly marvelous, I'm sure!).

I created this post only to poke a bit of fun at the British Monarchy; that's all.

I hope it gave at least some people a bit of a laugh: especially my American brothers and sisters here!

I dunno... For some reason all I can think about is the joke about the guy who got one of those little blue pills stuck in his throat, and had a stiff neck for three days.

Well there is one other thing I can think about... When Jim Gaffigan was talking about how everyone has his own McDonald's.

"You may have never set foot in a McDonald's before, but you have your own McDonald's. Maybe it's reading US Weekly magazine. Maybe you tell yourself that Starbucks frappucino is not a milkshake. Maybe you watch Glee. It's all McDonald's. Packaged a little different, but it's the same thing. It feels good going down, followed by guilt, eventually leading to cancer." :p

"And if you care who that prince married, that's not even McDonald's. That's Burger King. That's not even our gossip."
