Mafia Post to Play:
I haven't seen anyone do this so far so here it is; Christian Chat Mafia. Read the rules under this if you don't know how to play and if you want to join post In (In Bold). 15 people maximum.


Rules:
There are two ways to win in Mafia (someone please come up with another name, Mafia sounds so un-christian.) as there are two teams:

  • The Mafia: who win by becoming half the town.
    and
  • The Civilians: who win by eliminating the Mafia.

The game is played with 2 phases:

  • Day Phase:
    During day phase everyone must post a vote for elimination.
    This could be:
    Eliminate "Name"
    Eliminate Random
    No Elimination
    Once a majority of 66.6% is reached the most voted person will be eliminated. In the case of a random elimination, I will use a randomiser to choose who to eliminate. The Day-Phase is basically used for the town to try and vote-eliminate the Mafia. Beware though, you don't know who your fellow civilians are and who is mafia, where as the mafia know their fellow mafia.
    The day-phase ends after someone has been eliminated.
  • Night Phase:
    During the Night-Phase all players with a "night-action" (explained later) must message me (not in the thread) what they wish to do. Once all night actions are in, the Day Phase begins again.



Roles:
At the start of the game I will message all participants their "role". Your role decides your team and if you have any "night-actions" or "abilities"
The roles are:
Mafia Team
Mafia: Is a normal mafia member with no abilities.
Framer: Sends me a name during the night-phase. That person shows up guilty on inspection by the Inspector.
Godfather: Shows up innocent on inspection by the inspector.


Every night I the mafia team must send me 1 message saying who the want to eliminate during the night. I expect only 1 message, if I receive 2 no elimination will occur, so mafia message each other and discuss your evil plans.
Civilian Team
Inspector: Sends me a message during the night-phase containing the name of one player he wishes to inspect. I will then reply "innocent" if they are on the civilian team and "guilty" if they are on the mafia team.
Doctor: Sends me a message during the night-phase containing one name, if the mafia choose the chosen person for elimination he doesn't die. Cannot choose himself.
TownyNo abilities.


Extra Rules
1. No posting Screen-Shots, will result in a DQ.
2. Elimination votes are posted in the thread, Night-Actions are messaged to me.
3. Failing to post a vote during the Day-Phase within 3 days will result in a DQ.
4. Failing to post your Night-Action within 2 days will result in a DQ.
5. Your role will be revealed after any form of elimination.
6. If you are eliminated don't post in the thread. I will allow a "told you so" etc. posts though.


When 15 people have joined I will open another thread and the first Day-Phase will start. I will also message you your role. If you are not part of the game, don't post.
 
Ok, I'll try and sum it up easily here:
The game of mafia is basically two teams trying to win, these teams are "Mafia" and "The Town". The town wins when all Mafia are eliminated and the mafia wins when there number (say, theres 4 mafia.) is half the town; so if 2 mafia remain and 3 townies te mafia would need to eliminate 1 more towny to win.
The game is made in 2 phases; the day and night phase.
During the day phase every has to post a vote and everyone can discuss their suspicions and whatever. The day ends when a time limit runs our or a 2/3 majority is reached. So if 10 out of 15 vote to get a guy eliminated he is removed from the game, if the time limit runs out the person who is the most voted gets eliminated. (So if A has 5 votes, B has 4 and C has 6. C would be eliminated).
An eliminate player is "dead" and can't continue to participate in the game. They can still win if their team wins later however. The use of vote eliminating is to get the town to vote on who they suspect to be mafia.

After a vote has finished a night phase starts, during this phase people (In this games case the mafia, the inspector and the doctor send me (via CC's mail system) a name. What then happens is explained in the original rules.

What team you are on and if you have an ability or not depends on your role, these are in the OP and your role gets sent to you (via CC mail) if you join once the game begins.

also, the game is played in this thread, you don't have to message me your entry. All talk and voting is done in this thread aswell, only night-actions like the mafia-kill and inspector etc. are messaged. People are however welcome to speak to each other through messages if they rather not make what they are saying public
 
14 people remaining to join, we can however start with a minimum of 9.

I'm making a new topic, as my rules are really unclear and I've made some major changes for simplicities sake.
