read my post know that I was going in to have a stent placed in a major heart valve.
Well, God isn't through with me yet, PTL !!!
I was diagnosed by my cardiologist with having a 90% occlusion of my left coronary artery. They lovingly give this diagnosis the of "the widowmaker". I had gone to 4 doctors telling them that something was very wrong. They all said it was just my osteoporosis, fractures of my vertebrae in my thoracic regeion, lower back pain from herniated discs, my COPD or emphysema. I did not believe them.
I had a bout of high blood pressure one night. It was 200 over 98. I took nitroglycerin and it did no good. Finally I had my wife drive me to the hospital. The doctors there could not get it to stay down either. They admitted me.
In the process, they did blood work (yes the other doctors had done this too) and determined that I had diabetes.
I was also scheduled for a heart catherization to find the cause of my high blood pressure. It was determined that I had the 90% blockage of the main artery I mentioned and also an aortic aneurysm. Well, I had two stents put in Thursday. They are going to watch the aneurysm for awhile.
I am to see my regular doctor and have him prescribe something for my diabetes. It is a pain and very irritating sticking myself everyday to check my blood suger, but it sure beats the alternative. I wouldn't have minded going to heaven, I am looking forward to it someday, but I also want to see my grandchildren, bounce them on a sore knee, spoil them and spend some more time with my lovely wife who spoon fed me in the hospital.
I am a truely blessed man !!! Praise our God, who is so wonderful, loving and kind.
Don't ever give up! While there is a God in the heavens, there is hope !!!
Do I still have problems? You bet ! Am I overjoyed and overwhelmed with blessings from God? Without a doubt !!! I love life, I love God, I love my family and the possibilities around the next corner that our amazing God will share with me!
May God also pour out His richest blessings upon you, Love in Jesus Christ !!!
