Sometimes the physical signs and symptoms we experience are reminders from the Lord that we need to be better stewards of our bodies. We're overworked, we don't eat right a lot of the time (especially when we're pressed for time) and we don't take time out for exercise or stress relief. This can result in toxins building up in our bodies and, if not corrected, can lead to illnesses that we sort of create by our own neglect.

The Lord is teaching me that it's okay to slow down and step away from the craziness in our lives. Spend more time with Him and those we love. Step back and take a look at the toxins we are bringing into our lives - stress, processed/unhealthy/fast foods, etc.

Take a walk...a run...a swim...a bike ride...and praise God while we do it. This way we are nourishing our bodies and our spirits as well.

He loves us and He wants us to be healthy in every way. The next time you're getting headaches, your BP is up a little bit, body parts aren't feeling so great, as you pray about it, ask God to show you whether there are changes in your life that you could make that He may be trying to show you.

It's so much better than trying to find the best pill to cure our ills, right?

Just something to think and pray about! God bless you!
