'Know this and know it well...I have surely learned to let go of my past, or the
past would never let me go! Remorse, resentments, and things of this nature surely
will keep one from acquiring a sense of peace and well-being...believe it!
'Toxic surroundings, whatever they may be will hinder one's well-being. I hope you
learn to actually "rest in the Lord" and to understand discipline and self-control are necessary
in the hope of renewing your life."

Hi, enril.
God has provided us with the helmet of hope (Eph. 6:17, 1 Thess. 5:8) as part of our spiritual armor, and that is what protects our minds from things like depression. Years ago, I came across this teaching on hope, and it really helped me. If you take the time to listen to it, then I believe that it will help you as well.

Praise Him for what you go through. Yes depression happens and it is difficult.
James 1:2-4 2 Consider it pure joy, my brothers, whenever you face trials of many kinds, 3 because you know that the testing of your faith develops perseverance. 4 Perseverance must finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.
I have learned through many years (many) that this set of verses is so important. We are required to "grow up" in Messiah. That means we are tested with many trials! But all of the trials have a purpose with our Father. We can become mature in our thoughts, minds and responses! You can trust God to not give us more than we can handle. He just wants us to go to Him with all the issues! Prayer.... real prayer... in the spirit prayer is powerful and accomplishes much. We become closer to God the more we pray! And even faster when we are struggling. So hang in there! Run to God in prayer and thank him for the hard times you are in, but most of all thank Him for Him! He is your rock, your salvation and your fortress!!!
Father! I lift Enril up to you right now! Touch his spirit and fill him with Your love and peace. Draw him close and allow him to feel your presence with the understanding that you are so real! Thank you Father for what you will do in Enril's life! Amen!
