My husband and my marriage are in trouble. We just celebrated two years married, but we've been together 7 years. My husbands parents were youth pastors at our church. We were very involved in ministry together. His mother died about 4 years ago after battling breast cancer for 4 years. Since then, his family has fallen apart. Two sisters are still ok, but his youngest sister is a hypochodriac. She's failing school. She's just doing poorly in a lot of things. My husband has had issues with the leadership at our church... They have legitimate concerns about him being unemployed (2 years) and living off of me. Recently, about 2 months ago, he emailed the pastors that he was taking a temporary leave and didn't wish to be contacted. He was miffed again, though still for good reason (even though he doesn't see it that way). Now, he's not planning on going back. I see more and more everyday how much he's falling away. He still loves God. He still prays and reads his word, but not very often. He used to gobble it down with fervor. Now he hardly showers and shaves, has an excuse for everything, quits in the middle of every task that he even starts, etc. In addition, he's been getting very angry. In 4 years I saw him really angry only twice. He's blowing his top multiple times per week. He's throwing stuff, hitting things, screaming, and cussing. I don't know what to do.
I have my own issues right now. There's only so much I can handle. I feel very defensive around him. I'm walking on eggshells and he still gets angry all the time.

He must be feeling very insecure right now. The best thing for him is fellowship... Even if he doesn't go back to your normal church maybe fellowship with a new church could start up some new, good things stirring inside him?? The best thing for my wife and I when our marriage was in trouble was a marriage restoration class that we took for two days. It was all about getting involved in God's word and praying together and working as a team and loving each other.

I'll pray for you Jordache and your marriage.

God Bless You

Praying for both of you and his sister as well in Jesus Christ is Lord.
