Beginning at roughly 10 a.m. ET, the justices will hear arguments in the appeal of a federal appeals court panel’s decision that struck down California's Proposition 8, which defines marriage as between a man and a woman.
The court could uphold the California law and leave it up to states to decide the issue of same-sex marriage. Or it could overturn the California law and also extend that ruling to the other 29 states that have added a same-sex marriage ban to their constitutions. The arguments are expected to last about an hour.

Federal Law and the constitution do not give the Judges or the president the power or authority to transgress their branch of constitutional powers, the Supreme Court already agreed in the Clinton’s execution of states having the constitutional power to make their own decisions in this matter that the federal government branch cannot tell other states to accept other states decisions. Since most people (citizens do not know these detail manuvers) Obama and His oligarch continue to foist their amoral delusion upon all the nation, so yes pray that lawlessness will not be a strong delusion upon the supreme court Justices. This was not the case concerning Obama Care Judges transgressed their powers from judging a law to denying it’s definition, rewriting it from a fee to a tax, redefining it so they could foist it upon the people. Thus they have open their pridful hearts to rewriting laws instead of judging whether the laws presented to them are constitutional or not. Bursting open chaos and lawlessness opening a gaping whole in our constitution and the start of our constitutional rights demise.

Interesting how the Supreme Court rulings are fine when they align with your beliefs, but not when they don't. Wow!!!

Yes quite right i believe in the process of the constitution and its powers supreme court justices do not have the powers to redefine or alter laws or proposals that are presented to them so they can pass them, they are to judge whether it is according to our constitution, they do not make laws again they do not make laws, we the people address our representatives to process laws according to the constitution not according to the president or judges opinions or beliefs, WE CHOOSE AND PRESENT laws to be excecuted by the president, judges determine if it is constitutional, Judges have transgressed their powers in redefining what was not declared in a law made by the people voted on and approved by the people. Each state was granted the power to accept federal laws or to vote on and decide for theirself to not accept it, federal government does not have the power to dictate to the states foisting others states to do as other states have chosen by the people of that state.
That would be federalism or the absolute control of federal branch of government this is why the writers of the constitution designed the 3 branches so that we would not follow into the same tyranny that they themselves fled from to form a more complete nation and government for the people by the people, not for the president by the president or judges or even our representatives, who are now making secret undisclosed meeting and alliances to plan to present laws without the peoples consent or knowledge.

Though it's risky to predict how the court will rule based solely on comments by the justices during the oral arguments, one outcome seemed probable -- a decision striking down the Defense of Marriage Act.

"A decision saying that DOMA is unconstitutional because it discriminates against people based on their sexual orientation, and requiring the federal government to give full recognition to the existing marriages of same-sex couples, would be a huge victory," said Paul Smith of the Washington, D.C., law firm of Jenner & Block.

We shall see what the Sovereign Lord has chosen soon. :)
