I feel so blessed with what the Spirit is speaking into my heart about healing, I must share. These prayers are for three-fold healing, not solely body, but full restoration in God. As He provides, I'll be writing and recording them upon soothing music (with mp3 link to download). Anyone can use them freely to boost the faith and renew the mind.
Prayer Devotional for Healing, Day 4 - And Be Ye Thankful
Colossians 3:15 And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called in one body; and be ye thankful.
Being thankful is not an option: it is a commandment to us by God. And He has commanded this in order to show us even more of His kindness. If you had a child, would you give more gladly to a child that was thankful, or to another child that always grumbled? Yes, Jesus gives both to the thankful and to the unthankful, but a thankful child will receive more abundant blessings, while the unthankful child grieves His heart. It is grieving His Spirit to always grumble about what God has not done yet or what could have been done better, instead of boasting in faith of Jesus and praising God for all His good works. Jesus said, stop grumbling among yourselves. It is an evil word from the enemy and it is being given to you to destroy you. Don't voice the devil's words. Give him no foothold. Speak the healing words that God would have you speak instead. Let us be as a fountain of blessings. Let us count our blessings today, no matter how contrary and unnatural it might be to the flesh. Our new creature shall prevail over the dead flesh, in Jesus' name, amen.
And here is the secret and wisdom. It is the thanksgiving that causes us to enter into His gates. It is the praise of God that brings us into His courts! The most powerful angels of God praise Him continually around the throne, speaking just how holy God is. That is what keeps them close to Him. Because the Bible says that God inhabits the praises of His people. It is when we focus on Him and not on ourselves and our problems, that His presence really breaks forth in our lives. As the Psalmist instructs us, Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name. We bless You LORD! Thank You God for all the protection, provisions and care I receive from You daily and that I'm often not even aware of. Thank You that I am alive, thank You that You saved me, thank You for all chances that are being given to me, thank you for Your guidance, and thank You for healing me and restoring me continually in all ways.
---Amen
