I just had my cataracts removed as the doctor recommended for my narrow angle glaucoma to make some room for my eyes a couple days ago. My eyes are not completely healing as much as I would like so I would ask that you pray for God to heal my eye and specifically my left eye because the vision is not that great and I feel like I lost some peripheral vision so I know God can restore my eyes And I’ve been praying for God to heal my eyes .

Were there supposed to be any side-effects or complications? Did everything go smoothly? How long has it been since it got removed?

The doctor said everything went smoothly during the surgery.
I still feel some soreness in my left so I can tell it's not fully healed, and it's only been 3 days. It appears I did lose some peripheral vision, so I pray the Lord restores that in my left eye, not from the surgery but from the effects of the Glaucoma. It's only after the surgery have I noticed the loss in vision. Man can't recreate what God has perfected!! So OEM body parts are the best by far!

Alright, I understand now. Yes, that's true, OEM parts are the best! They are the perfectly-made ones straight from the factory! ;)
I'm specifically praying that the doctor was used completely by God to completely fix your cataract and that that is just a process of healing you are going through. Also praying that God completely heals you of glaucoma and any more effects that could come after it, a more permanent and complete healing.

Dear brother,

I just prayed for you.
God created our bodies and designed them miraculously to heal when they are cared and provided for properly.
I'm a nutritionist and have had my share of serious injuries, so I can relate with the serious concern.
I had a prayer request posted in this very forum for God's healing of my serious grease burn on my orbits/ eye balls.
What comes to mind are nutrients I would take.

Vitamins C, E, mega B Complex, multivitamin mineral complex, along with lutein and zeaxanthin.
I would take zinc, (Not oxide form), after eating or during the meal, but not at the beginning. Magnesium and aminos. L-lysine helps aid healing.
Beta carotene or organic carrots 2x daily. With them and a fatty meat, avocado, free range eggs sunny side up only take fat soluble vitamins k, A , D3, ,E complex. Organic vegetables beets with green tops daily, organic dark leafy greens, wild frozen blueberries, wild caught fish, sweet potatoes, asparagus, tomatoes, and Colorful veggies like red bell peppers. I'm used to adding a little hot but tasty pepper with most meals called a habanero. It is reported to increase circulation and the absorption of nutrients. Just be careful to where plastic gloves when handling them. I cut the seeds out too. However they are usually ok to spice up a stew or soup when cooked a good while.

A half bulb of garlic/ day in the meals is good. I would avoid smoking, sweeteners, as well as artificial can help immune function to avoid infection.
I'd try to stay with organic as much as can be found. Spend more and get quality supplements too. I'd ask a family member to help with shopping tomorrow to get what is necessary for healing/ repair right now.
I'd bookmark this page or print it out for a shopping list to make it easy.

That's what I would do if I had surgery like that or did a consultation with someone who was not on a blood thinner.

Let us know how you are doing.

To your full recovery by God's grace.

@jacko I started to doze off and remembered something else I'd get Sunday. I've seen reduction in scar tissue from eating pineapples and papaya daily.
They should be eaten early, late, between meals so the special protein enzymes the Lord put in them can work to reduce scarring instead of breaking down the protein in your eggs or calf liver with onions, two more. The core should be eaten too because most of the enzyme is in the pineapple core and stem. If it gives a burning sensation, just don't eat as much per serving. The enzyme does that when you get too much at once because it works on the lining of your mouth. It can be stopped by chewing meat if that occurs.

Blessings

Another mini breakthrough today, gained a tiny bit of peripheral vision on my left eye. Enough to be noticeable, praise God and I continue to pray for healing like Bartimaeus the blind man on the streets of Jericho.

I just want share this with you. But, it could be long time for this one on the eyes, according to this same article.
https://www.fightaging.org/archives/2025/03/senescent-cells-in-the-aging-of-the-lens-of-the-eye/

"
The progressive senescence of LECs represents a critical factor in age-related cataractogenesis. Advances in senotherapeutics may offer promising strategies to mitigate LEC senescence, either by eliminating senescent cells through senolytics or modulating the harmful effects of the senescence-associated secretory phenotype (SASP) with senomorphics. Natural compounds like fisetin, luteolin, and metformin, along with innovative therapies such as FOXO4-DRI and gene editing, highlight the growing potential for targeted interventions to delay cataract progression.

Future research on cellular senescence in cataract formation holds significant potential to uncover novel therapeutic strategies aimed at delaying or preventing lens opacity. A deeper understanding of the molecular drivers of LEC senescence, particularly the role of oxidative stress, mitochondrial dysfunction, and protein aggregation, will be essential for developing targeted interventions. Investigating the interplay between SASP factors and changes in the lens microenvironment could provide insights into how chronic inflammation accelerates cataract progression. Senescence research could pave the way for innovative treatments that preserve lens transparency and prevent age-related cataracts.
"

Senescent drugs and telomere DNA are going to be here in 10+ years.

Hang in there. My dad was able to see, but he was blind.
