Judging by the topics and comments, I was brought here by many of the same issues that brought many of you here.
I have been marriage a year to my wife.
I was deceived that her drinking was more than I imagined. She is an alcoholic.
I made sure that before we married , she needed to not drink for a year and that God must be the center of her life.
So, after more than a year of being with me and coming to church and seeking the Lord, we married.
Things wer great until 10 days after our wedding.
She was drunk as a skunk. My step-daughter had tole me that she had been drinking the who time she said she hadn't.
She thought it was obvious and was certain I knew.
I had no clue.
So, now I am married to a woman whom I cannot trust and who I always look at with "what is she hiding now?" eyes.
The past several weeks my prayers seem to been come to fruition. She is desiring a closer walk with the Lord.
She does feel unworthy because of her traumatic childhood and of her past experiences with "Christians" being so judgmental of her life.
I get it. Christians just love to shoot their wounded. That is, after they shoot their own mirrors!
I need prayer that she beat her drinking for good and that her past no longer have a grip on her, ever!
