My Mom is 93 and she has pneumonia in her left lung. Her doctor told us she would die any day. My husband & I drove 500 miles each way to go sit with her last week. My sister & her husband flew from Phoenix to see her. My brother who lives 20 blocks away even came.

I realized my mom was lonely for her family. Over the 4 days we were there, she improved a lot. We all went home, and my mom is still not recovered, but neither has she died.

My sister & I tried to talk to her about God, but she just got angry, or ignored us. My sister said our father told her our mom is an atheist. He was right!

Nevertheless, I was once an atheist, so was my husband and sister. Yet God saved us! I've shared the gospel with her many times over the last 42 years since I was saved. I even did a presentation of the gospel, when I was taking evangelism in seminary.

I just want prayer that God would save her. I don't want her dying without knowing Christ & repenting of her sins. Only God can change her heart, now!

My Mom has had a full life. She has done everything she wanted to do, and had a happy marriage of 63 years. My father passed away over 12 years ago. He came to Christ 5 months before he died. I know they won't be married in heaven, but I just think it would be sad for my mom not to be there in heaven.

Please pray that God would save Jeanne. Thank you in advance!

I asked my doctor what to do for someone with the same problem. I was told the following.
1. Lot's of water and absolutely No dairy. Dairy thickens mucous. Water loosens it so it can be coughed up.
2. No hospice...Hospice "care" administers deadly drugs. One of the more common ones that are commonly given "for pain" paralyzes the lungs and brings about death.
3. She said to have a lady spread Vic's Vapor Rub all over her back and front where the lungs are 2X Day.
4. Get her out of bed and moving around. Help her get up to go to the bathroom and walk assisted short distances. Laying in bed can be a cause of pneumonia. Sedentary seldom sees recovery.
This is not medical advice I am giving. This is what I was told may help a family member with pneumonia. She recovered and is still alive.

It sounds like your mom needs better help so she can recover and have more opportunities to Believe on Christ.

Maybe someone else can witness to her.
Family members can be difficult to win to Christ. May I suggest some videos that she might be open to?
The first is linked above in blue.
I will pray for your Mom.

After he had said this, Jesus was troubled in spirit and testified, "I tell you the truth, one of you is going to betray me."

I pray in Jesus name that your mother Jeanne will be saved and see the kingdom of God. For it is never too late. God has mercy even till the last breath. God even had mercy on the thief that was hanging next to Jesus on the Cross.

“We are punished justly, for we are getting what our deeds deserve. But this man has done nothing wrong.” Then he said, “Jesus, remember me when you come into your kingdom.” Jesus answered him, “Truly I tell you, today you will be with me in paradise.””

I'm believing with you for mom's recovery, and I'm taking this approach in every situation from here out, whoever I'm speaking to, "Don't you know that you are a child of God?!" even to the rebellious!

There are those that might try to convince me otherwise, but they won't get that too easily.

Today, they were able to begin lowering the O2 for my Mom. This indicates her lung is recovering. She is still not eating well, but any improvement is welcome. I'm still praying and trusting God for her salvation. God is in control!

"A silent prayer goes out to this family, and a silent prayer
is simply to hope that awareness of God is present to comfort
the family."
