Having you and your sister supporting each other is really helpful at a time like this. Mom's first name?

I think we all feel venerable in the shower. Add being old the last thing we would want is to fall in the shower be naked and have to call the EMTs. Not showering was one the reasons we placed mom. Our Moms are often not as argumentative with others as they are with us kids. They are Mom, and mom is right . :) We were blessed the baby of the family is a doctor, he worked where we placed her. Remember to visit even when she does not know you. Blessings to you and your sister .

I hope and pray that you and your family will find a way to take care of her. I know we are out in situations that we don't expect or think we can do, but that's where love and faith applies. Nursing homes are the last place you should want your Mom to go.
I know what I'm talking about personally and with residents.
Personally, my Mom and brother went behind my back to put her in jeopardy of elective surgery. When she previously talked about considering to have surgery performed, I told her of the likely risks as well as alternatives.
I offered a safe alternative.

The next thing I hear is that my warnings all came true. She nearly died, not once but twice. The nursing home care at that very facility was deadly and the only reason they did not kill her was the grace of Almighty God. Had He not intervened....

Have you given up all hope on your Mom?
You do want her to recover don't you?

I & my sister has not put her there we were only talking about it yes I would like her to recover my sister was the one that brought it up about the nursing home, I was agreeing with her But I rather my Mom does not go to a nursing home I would like her to get well, I told my sister before she needs to be prayed for finally yesterday My sister said about us praying for her first to see if she recovers, she is not doing good she is not walking well she falls every time she tries she is barely eating & barely drinking anything she hardly talks

mom was about 92 makes me about 70 I could not lift her when she fell . Our home did not have room for the equipment needed for that kind of assistance . We did not have the funds or space to create a roll in shower. When they loose bowel control showers are great to have. I called the EMTs a few times i could not move her myself she needed more help then i was capable of giving. Mom weighed over 200 pounds . They were able to give her care i could not, regulate her meds, physical therapy . At the home she was able to use her electric scoter which was too big for our house . Church services came to her. If you both decide to have her stay home will you be able to not blame yourselves if she falls that one time too many? Daddy would say you are between a rock and a hard place.
I do not find either choice pleasant or wrong. May God be with you kids through this trial.
I dont like nursing home i dont think any one does but sometimes they are better. Should you kids place her visit her, visit her.
