(This blog continues a discussion about ways to draw near to God. This is the third blog in a series that focuses on prayer.)
"I urge, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for all people— for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness. This is good, and pleases God our Savior, who wants all people to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth." 1 Timothy 2:1-4
God wants all people to be saved and live a life of holiness. Beyond that, He wants them to enjoy physical, emotional, and mental health. Make a list of people you want to pray for each day. It should include:
Try this! Children should learn to pray as soon as they are old enough to talk. Hold your child accountable for their prayer time every day by asking, "Did you say your prayers?"
God is pleased when you spend time with Him and pray for His will in the lives of others. Your words do not need to be fancy. God will see your heart and draw near to you.
