My husband and 14 year old daughter are arguing, I am out of town at work, an 8 hr drive away. My husband is saying horrible hurtful things and so is my daughter - God does not seem to be thriving at the homefront right now, from what I can tell the devil is running loose and has a good strong hold on my family in my absence. Please pray for a miracle there is much to over come, I pray no more harm come to or from either of them. That their tounges are controlled and their hearts softened to allow forgiveness and the confusion and deceit that has been introduced to my daughter is removed and she will feel love from God and her family. I pray my husband be the man he is and guide our daughter the way Jesus wants her to go and keep his and her dignity in tact. My husband is a man of God and does not act the way his is acting he needs to rise above this situation, my daughter has been dedicated since an infant to Christ and wanted to be baptised 2 years ago but chose not to in the end because she doesn't feel she will be a good enough Christian - she has perfectionist tendancies.
thank you for your prayers there is much pain and confusion that only GOD can fix.
God Bless

This is a most lovely prayer, and I have agreed with you at the mercy seat!
May the Lord take charge in your home, and among family members. I ask our Father to restore harmony, and that your husband be given opportunity to listen to his Sovereign and respond to your daughter as his own loving Father does. I ask that your daughter may be released from the self-perfectionism that I know all too well. I ask that she will come to understand sanctification as a life-long process, but that God sees her as perfected in Christ right now!
None of us will ever be "good enough" in this life, but praise God! He sees us through the blood sacrifice Jesus presented at the cross. ♥
I pray all confusion be removed from your precious daughter's mind, and that Truth be present there. I ask for the deceitful one to be silenced, in Jesus name, so that His words to her, the words of real Truth, of Christ Himself, can be heard. I trust God to do these things, out of His great love for them and His desire for all of the Body to live and work in harmony with one another.

May the Lord richly bless you with all Godly wisdom and may He manifest the presence of His Son in your home, in Christ's perfect Name, amen!

Praying in agreement with you and all here in Jesus Christ is Lord come in the flesh.
Asking also, Father , In Jesus's name, I ask that you bind this destructive and arguing spirit, remove it from this home, and bring the peace of Jesus to this daughter and her father, filling them both with the Holy Spirit, bringing not just peace, but understanding to them both and a closer relationship that will endure the rest of their lives together.
In Jesus's name I praise you and thankyou Father, for all glory is trully yours!

Dear Lucy! I have prayed that for your daughter, too, and will keep praying for her till you tell me to stop. :)
She's in my notebook now...resistance is futile...lol. ;)
Is there anything you'd like me to add, dearest sister?

Thank you all for your support and prayers, the arguing has stopped but he destruction still present. I do not know what my daughters head space is but she comes and goes as she pleases right now, her name is Samantha. My husband feels she is no longer a part of the family and has in essence "written her off" he claims he will no longer take her abuse anymore, his name is Chris. There is much going on in my house I return home Thursday night - PRAISE GOD! My son is trying to manage he is 12 years old and recently given his life to Jesus - another prayer answered praise God. My daughter has anxiety about returning to school and my husband needs to return to work for 4 days after being off with an injury for 6 months, then he has a 2nd surgery to fix his injury on the 12 of Sept which will make him unable to walk for 2 weeks and my daughter will have her wisdom teeth removed on the 22nd of Sept. Its been very tough since January this is when my daughter started to go astray and my husband suffered an injury (broken ankle bones) in March and has been off since then. I've done lots at home but in June started to work out of town for various reasons, I come home every weekend but its been difficult however being away has offset the loss of wages for my husband - praise God although its bitter sweet. Please continue to pray for my family that my husband and I are united in Christ and work in agreement, that my son Dylan feels loved and turns to Jesus for everything and that my daughter Samantha feels loved and also turns to Jesus.
Thank you that Jesus is the head of my home and GOD reins, no evil can dwell within the confines of our home and hearts we are blessed in Jesus name and protected by the Blood of the Lamb our home is a safe place!
thanks you all
Lisa

Agreeing in prayer,
In the Loving name of Jesus!

Lisa! After just reading all your family has gone through and what's yet to come I can barely think! I cannot imagine what you all must be feeling. :(
I praise God and rejoice with you that Dylan's sins have been forgiven and he is a memebr of the household of faith and my own little brother. ♥
And we can rejoice that the Lord has accomplished step 1--the arguing has stopped. :)
Now comes the hard part--trusting that He will be faithful to complete the good work He began in each of you. So we declare, in faith, that He is faithful to His word, and will never be found a liar. I've had times I had to prolcaim that on my knees, not quite being sure but knowing I ought to be sure, because His promises are Yes!
For as many as are the promises of God, in Him they are yes; therefore also through Him is our Amen to the glory of God through us. 2 Cor. 1:20
I love the greek wording of this, which is
"as many as, indeed, the promises of God there are, in Him is the Yes therefore, and in Him the amen, to God, for glory, by us."

In Him is the Yes, and in Him the Amen. mmhmm! To our English speaking eyes this may seem awkward...but I think it's beautiful because it puts the yes and the amen squarely where they belong--in Him, right where the promises are!

I pray this brings you comfort, my dear sister. I have your name, and those of Chris, Samantha, and Dylan in my notebook, and if a day comes when I forget to pray for you, I know, know, know that the Lord does not forget you, and He will be faithful to those who belong to Him. If He must discipline us, He does it in love, never punishment, to draw us back to Him so our joy will be full. (not to say you are being punished for anything, beloved, or even disciplined!!)
When our kiddos were youngerl, I used to find that too much time away from work caused my husband's temper to shorten toward them. Do you think that may be happening? From talking with other sisters in the Lord, I have discovered this to be a fairly common thing. I realize it isn't okay...but I do think husbands may get much of their own perspective of self from work (they tend to define themselves and one another by their jobs, as is witnessed by almost the first question they ask one another: "What do you do?"), and too much of their self-worth therein. I have asked the Lord to show Chris that His worth is in Him, if that is the case for him.

I think Mom sets the emotional tone for the home, and if she cannot be there, things get skewed. I am grateful the Lord has provided for your family in your job, and I can appreciate it that you call it bitter-sweet. It sounds like you all have just had so much need of endurance. (meaning you've had so much to endure!) It can get exhausting to the point each member of the family is just emotionally ennervated.
I pray the Lord will strengthen each of you to the task at hand. I pray He will protect the minds and hearts of your dear children. I ask the Lord to draw your husband to Himself, that he will show mercy to his daughter, just as his Father has shown mercy to him. I pray Dylan will be covered and hid with Christ in God, and that the turmoil around him will not hurt his little heart. I seek the Lord for strength especially for you, Lisa. I trust Him to give you wisdom for all these things so you will know when not to speak and you will know just the right thing to say when you should speak. I hope (expectaltly hope!) that he will help you walk this tightrope.

Thank you for further details. I hope you continue to let us know how you are...your family, yes, but we are sisters here, and we love you with the Love Christ has given us for one another. And you know how it is...once a momma, a worrier you tend to be! lol

ps- we have 3 children so far go through the wisdom tooth surgery. My heart goes out to Samantha! All four at once? 'ware nausea! :/ And get the blender ready! ;)

Hi Ellie,
Thank you for your very thoughtful words. Yes Samantha will have all 4 teeth taken at once. My husband used to be defined by his job but not so much anymore, he has handled this injury with excellent grace however with all that's been happening I think he's in a bit of a hole. The situation with my daughter is quite complex. Let me start with my family is a very busy group with school, work sports ect. My daughter started grade 8 (high school here) last year and sept 2011 and till Nov things seemed great, then she met a boy in mid Nov. that was drug using, comes from a lazy uncaring disrespectful family and so on - he transferred from another school. We bought our first home in Oct 2011 - PRAISE GOD MORE ANSWERED PRAYERS! Anyway both our children are not permitted to date at this time but Samantha developed a strong friendship with this boy and as her relationship grew the more she died as a person, she stopped doing art work (she is an amazing artist has a mural wall in her new room) she stopped reading (she has an Ereader she reads so much), stopped dong rock climbing and horseback riding all to hang with this person. She started to loose privileges due to her behavior and she eventually ran away one day then later we realized she had been dabbling in drugs with this person - a total 180 from the previous time without this person. Anyway when all this crazy happened we learned that this boy she had developed feelings for is Transgender (a biological girl that lives as a boy) - my daughter had no idea until we told her. She then became confused questioning if she is gay and so forth - unfortunately the feelings were already there and the confusion grew. This person became her life and transgender or not we do not approve of dating at this time of their lives. So needless to say this person is still in her life and a huge contention in our family, my husband has quite a dislike for this person because the family is dirty and will give the kids drugs - its all a huge mess and my hubby can't understand why our daughter who has everything would run to people who have nothing and go against all of our beliefs - many of the family members are bisexual and drug using. My son just wants the chaos to stop and us be a family and enjoy being a family. My husband has much going on he's been in pain for months and gets to do it all over again on the 12th of Sept. I have been home every weekend but since Mar. all I do is clean and work because my husband only started walking without crutches the first week of August. God has given us much grace in all of this my job is a blessing even though it sounds tough, it has allowed us to keep our home and maintain our lifestyle even with a drop in Chris's wage. Plus I do get home every weekend to clean and have a night out with the family. So far my hubby and I have been in agreement with everything so its been very manageable but now that he is so fed up and at his wits end we are no longer in agreement. So there you have it the story of our lives - it is tough right now but Jesus has been glorious in all of it! He has proved every time the devil has attacked. We are beyond blessed. But we do need some prayer in some areas.
thank you all for your prayers.
God Bless
Lisa

Hi Everyone,
thank you for your support and prayers! Things are still a day by day basis but we have been successful to have 3 family nights in the past 3 weeks - PRAISE GOD! and this past weekend my daughter was home almost the entire weekend. Unfortunately she returned home quite late in the evening last night so we have had 3 weeks of positive progression and a real step back last night. Your continued prayers are welcomed, I feel God pressing on my heart to just keep stealing moments to show my daughter love and that's what we do. My husband still struggles but is working as a team now at least. Thanks you all and God Bless.

Thank you for the update!
Prayers sent for you and your family!
Love and hugs, Shekaniah

Lisa, so glad to hear from you again about the family. :)
How is your husband doing post-op?

I am happy to renew my prayers for your precious family.
I hate to say "especially the children"...but just feel I should r-e-a-l-l-y pray for Samantha and Dylan. ♥
