Sweet hour of prayer! sweet hour of prayer!
That calls me from a world of care,
And bids me at my Father’s throne
Make all my wants and wishes known.
In seasons of distress and grief,
My soul has often found relief,
And oft escaped the tempter’s snare,
By thy return, sweet hour of prayer!

(William B. Bradbury, pub.1861)

This song means allot to me, and it still does. I remember during my teenage years i faced intense challenges, i still do, there were times i wished i could go to bed and do not wake up the next morning or fall in a coma and wake up years later... but i remember in 2007 when i really started talking to God and telling him what i was going through... i prayed, prayed prayed and prayed. God became my personal friend, the only one who truly understands me.
today God still calls us from a world of care and distraction through the blessedness of prayer and places us before His throne to make all our thoughts and wishes known.
I refer to my teenage years because it was in that time of my life that i really started to seek God as if my life depended on it. (though i had been saved from 4th grade)
God still calls us to prayer, let us make time and take time to pray.

nice friend!!! hehehe at least before you still wishes to wake up years later that not to wake up at all... you're still optimistic... that's nice.continue to be a blessing :)

This post puts my focus on the peace that God offers when the attention is on Him as opposed to the fleshly world surrounding us. It is nice to be reminded of the peace He offers us with Him because it is more than easy to be caught up with life in the flesh and to forget this. Thank you for the reminder ;-)
