Hey, all. Please pray for my cousin Connie's family; she lost her battle with colon cancer 2 days ago. She left behind her husband Clayton, daughter Destiny, and 3 stepkids: Angel, Amanda, & Jason. Here's what I originally wrote on Facebook...

It is with a heavy heart but also a grateful soul, that I'm reporting my beloved cousin Connie Sturrock Whittenton has passed away. I only knew her for six years, but she quickly became a "spiritual mother" to me, second only to my birth Mom. I was a complete emotional and mental basket case when I first moved here, but she found me a good doctor who helped me become more stable. What I really remember most though, are our conversations both on Facebook and at my home. I rarely visited where she lived, primarily due to personal reasons.

Almost three years ago, Connie was diagnosed with colon cancer, and for a long time she fought it bravely with all that she had. Even in moments of extreme physical pain and what must have been deep despair, she stuck it out...and I never once heard her blame God for her condition. But the majority of her life in total had been defined by pain, both physical and emotional. Above all else though, the one thing that defined Connie's life was her love for God and His Son Jesus Christ. I am choosing to be at peace myself, knowing she is finally with her Savior, freed from her numerous hardships. I love you Connie, and here's to eternity; give warm hugs to your Mom and mine, when you see them both. Always and forever - I will never forget you. Josh & Connie - Photo #1 - 6x4.jpg
