1Thessalonians 5:16-18 New King James Version (NKJV)
16 Rejoice always, 17 pray without ceasing, 18in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God inChrist Jesus for you.
How is itpossible for me to rejoice always in all things? Is it possible to pray withoutceasing? Wow, and then how do I, you or anyone gives thanks in everything thathappens.
You know anyof the above is impossible with man. But all things are possible with God,Jesus’s Father.
Now ifpraying without ceasing is the will of God then I think praying can’t be aposition, your head down and hands together in front of you. Prayer would thenhave to be an attitude of one’s heart, not a position, therefore if prayingwith this attitude unceasingly; there would be no time for any worldlythinking. You would always be in the Spirit of God, knowing truth acting outtruth, giving thanks in all things automatically, therefore one would rejoicein all things, because one would know, all things work together for the purposeof God, Jesus’s Father.
This happenedwith his son Jesus, for Father raised Jesus back from the dead, Jesus kept thefaith with his Father, so now are you, going to believe, trust, keep faith nomatter what situation you are in. Not only Jesus did this but all the Saints inGod and Christ kept the faith no matter what! And God always has come throughfor those that would not give up on Father.
Midrach,Shadrach and Abinego, thrown into the fire by the order of King Nebechnezar, and they stood to their faith. How many of us would not forsake their belief ifbeing delivered to the fire? How many of us value our own lives over the lifeof God? How many of us are mixing our own lives to the life of God, in order togain something here and now on earth?
If flesh andSpirit are mixed which is usually the case, this would be why we can’t rejoiceall the time, pray unceasingly, or give thanks to all things, so one that isalive to the flesh can’t do the will of God.
First ofall; Romans 6:11 Likewise you also, reckon yourselves to be dead indeed to sin, but alive to God inChrist Jesus our Lord.
Flesh andsin go hand in hand
Romans 7:5
For when we were in the flesh, thesinful passions which were aroused by the law were at work in our members to bear fruit to death.
Romans 8:1
[ Free from Indwelling Sin ] There is therefore now no condemnationto those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but accordingto the Spirit.
1Corinthians 1:29
that no flesh should glory in His presence.
Romans 13:14
But put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for theflesh, to fulfill its lusts.
1Corinthians 15:50
[ Our Final Victory ] Now this I say, brethren, thatflesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; nor does corruption inheritincorruption.
2Corinthians 1:12
[ Paul’s Sincerity ] For our boasting is this:the testimony of our conscience that we conducted ourselves in the world insimplicity and godly sincerity, not with fleshly wisdom but bythe grace of God, and more abundantly toward you.
2Corinthians 10:3
For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to theflesh.
Galatians2:16
knowing that a man is not justified by theworks of the law but by faith in Jesus Christ, even we have believed in ChristJesus, that we might be justified by faith in Christ and not by the works ofthe law; for by the works of the law noflesh shall be justified.
Galatians2:20
I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives inme; and the life whichI now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself forme.
Praying you all get it, thereis no mixing flesh and Spirit, you are alive to one and dead to the other period therereally is no mix.
Just likewater and oil can’t mix, but you can stir the two up to look like it is mixed, but when all is settled the oil floats a top of the water separated.
The same istrue for flesh and Spirit. Therefore to be in the will of God one has to bealive in the Spirit of God, and this is through belief and belief alone, thenone works out their own salvation with fear and trembling, knowing by one’sfree will that God will work all things out according to God’s will in you, therefore you will know truth that sets you free from this world’s evil andpresent danger.
