You raise many great questions here and I have some answers for you. I'm pressed for time right now and need to refresh my thoughts.
America does not promote religion but allows freedom to practice religion. Much of our important documents have old testament scripture text in them written by our founding fathers.
However, the interpretation of those documents have been debated for yrs.
Let me stop here.

While this is somewhat off topic, it needs to be addressed. You have a very serious misunderstanding of American history. Some of the things you need to keep in mind are:

1. The Pilgrims and Puritans were both groups of Bible-believing Christians who wanted to worship biblically. The Pilgrims wanted to separate themselves from the Church of England while the Puritans wanted to reform it from within. When they arrived in America, the Pilgrims followed their convictions without interfering with others, but the Puritans wanted to have others conform to their beliefs.

2. Over time and because not all who came later were Christians, many unChristian practices came into effect.

3. The Founding Fathers had various beliefs and many were Freemasons, but they all had a respect for the Bible and a reverence for God. They were certainly not Satanists.

4. When George III the king of England tried to force the Colonists to obey British laws which were detrimental to the Colonists, it led to the American Revolution and the War of Independence.

5. The Declaration of Independence recognized God and was crafted to maintain liberty, justice and peace, including religious liberty.

6. The Constitution was crafted with the same ideas of liberty, justice, and peace, and the State would not be allowed to establish any religion. Many good amendments were also added to it. But the Constitution was also a document which depended on having those who were in government to uphold it, and ensure the welfare of all people.

7. In the meantime theological liberalism and political liberalism began to influence people in England and America. This would eventually undermine everything that America should have stood for.

8. Then came the rise of Communism, Nazism, and Fascism. There were many Americans who became Communists and began working for the Soviet Union. Communism should have been banned as an ideology and a political party but that never happened.

9. The goal of Communist USSR -- which saw America as its arch-enemy -- was to destroy America from within by hijacking all its institutions. and planting Communists in government. There is actually a document which lists in detail how Communists would destroy America. It has practically been fulfilled in every respect.

10. Many blacks also adopted Communism as their ideology and began working against the interests of the USA. Does the Bible say that a nation should welcome its invaders and destroyers with open arms? The Bible also teaches that God recognizes national boundaries and in fact has set them up.
