God May increase our understanding of his word, so that we clearly discern his will for us, He may impress our hearts by His Holy Spirit as to what curse of action would be best for us through friends or shaping events and circumstances in such a way as to reveal His will, However, God has given us intelligent minds and He is honored when we make use of them in solving the problems of life under the guidance of the Holy Spirit. It would not be wise for Him to do for us what we can do for our self/ so we can learn to exercise maturity.
5 If any of you is deficient in wisdom, let him ask of the giving God [Who gives] to everyone liberally and ungrudgingly, without reproaching or faultfinding, and it will be given him.
From my Study of the bible over the years Truth does not come all at once it would crush us really, even when Jesus was on earth he did not know all things. Luke 2:40 And the Child grew and became strong in spirit, filled with wisdom; and the grace (favor and spiritual blessing) of God was upon Him. 52 And Jesus increased in wisdom (in broad and full understanding) and in stature and years, and in favor with God and man.
As Jesus was growing up I think we forget that he was more human than we give him credit for. I think in a world full of instant gratification we want everything and anything at that moment. I my self will go to a store and if they do not have what I want at that moment will walk out with-out buying anything because, I tell my self it just was not meant to be because it was not on the shelf.
Philippians 2:5 Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God: 7 But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men:
Jesus said Give us this day our daily bread ! We must use our brain ! read his word! How can one follow with his whole heart and not?
Matthew 24:36 But of that [exact] day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father.
When Jesus was on earth he did not know all things as the father.
So we too must grow in grace and wisdom. I pray this is your need as well! God bless.
