President sign bill against homosexulity

In nigeria ,our president signed a bill against homosexuality in the country any one csught will be imprisoned for 13years .one should be caught in such a shameful act.

No pls TRUE its forbidden must not be caught.when they were in senate meeting christians were praying and God took over though they were not happy in the us that we refused to join in the legalism of gay right.
Been don't care.
Its not in our culture.
 
Instead of throwing them in prison, why not get them help? I don't know. I feel like it's ridiculous to throw them in prison for 13 years... A christian shouldn't really be happy about that, but maybe that's just me.

Kind of a pointless remedy, considering ALL the other evil going on in Nigeria!

I understand you're against homosexuality. It's a sin. Fine, that's a given.

But let those who engage in homosexual acts carry their own burden. If they wish to engage in sinful acts that will send them to hell, it's on them.

Let them sin.

Prison should be reserved for those who's actions harm other, non-consenting, people. Rape, murder, theft, fraud, etc.

We shouldn't be the ones to judge people of their actions. However, we must judge so that we may protect people, their property, the environment, and sometimes other forms of life. We do this because it's not fair to let people who aren't doing anything wrong become victimized.

Putting someone in prison for doing something that two people consent to is ridiculous. You should be ashamed of yourself.

I guess, as an American, I'm a bit spoiled by the First Amendment. I believe everyone must choose their religion, not have it forced on them.

That's all fine and that until we or our pastors are being fined or imprisoned for calling homosexuality a sin...hate speech I think it's called.

You're being a hypocrite.

To protect our right to free speech, you want to take away everyone else's rights. Why not, say, defend freedom of speech and person freedom? Your fear that you'll lose your freedom of speech has led you to support a totalitarian government - one that punishes consensual homosexuality far more harshly than numerous charges of violence, fraud, and theft.
 
In North America putting them in prison would only make homosexuality more available to them, if not forced upon them.

A friend of mine who was a missionary in Cameroon for 25 years, and a doctor, said in all that time, he only met one gay man. It simply wasn't part of the culture.

Interesting that the rate of homosexuals was so low, when it was not acceptable by the culture. They didn't need a law to suppress it, they didn't need gay pride parades to promote it.

It simply was not acceptable so it didn't happen. In other words, the lie that you are born a homosexual is the big issue here, and it really needs to be addressed. I think a law would just make it forbidden fruit, and more desirable to the rebellious types.

Well as a nigerian its not pointless its just to install fear and make people within n outside the country that it is forbidden.
 
Well we all glad abt the law cos we do not want to wake up and find our children engaging in something that is wrong. 95% have accepted it.nothing can We. Are happy abt it, we have other punishment for law breakers in my country. We are getting better

You know its interesting when people say this stuff. Like Iran saying that there are no homosexuals in Iran, and then the next day they hung three men for homosexuality. You want to know why you don't meet homosexuals in countries like Nigeria and Iran, they are too smart to tell you.

What Nigeria has done is offensive and against any form of morality. Whether homosexuality is a sin or not, are we really going to go as far as imprison people? How about kill them? This is sick. Nigeria will answer for this at God's Judgment of the Nations. How long until mankind realizes that at the end of the day, we are to care for our neighbors, we are our brother's keeper, and that compassion is the way of God. This smacks of the early days before we find out about the atrocities these men and women will experience in these prisons. Mark my words, if you think Abu Ghraib was offensive, just wait until we see the inside story of Nigeria's prison system.

Homosexuality is NOT a product of culture, BUT of the works of the flesh!

Have a look at Gal 5v19-21, it comes under "fornication"; the Greek word used to translate it is "porneia" (Strong's NT:4202), where it is used for ALL kinds of illicit sex.

You can find a bit of a study Here on not only the works of the flesh but the fruit of the Spirit...
