Putin is still nowhere near his "final solution" in Ukraine. He doesnt even dare to take his ships to sea where Ukraine repeatedly send them down to the seafloor. Leaving out Ukraine will only make this conflict wear out both Russia and Ukraine.

Are you by any chance rooting for that little Kremlin gremlin'?

I can't believe that you even asked that question. Putin is murdering vast numbers of Ukrainians, sacrificing his own people in the process. What has that to do with America? Nothing. Putin is a war criminal. Mr Trump dignifies an authoritarian dictator by even talking to him as an equal.

For a start, there is nothing to negotiate. Putin withdraws and pays for the damage that he has done to Ukraine. OK, so the negotiation should be the amount of reparations.

Give me one reason why Zelensky should not be involved in negotiations, apart from the fact that it would be futile. Putin has no intention of backing down on his ambition to take over Ukraine.

I am not against Mr Trump. He is doing a great job in the Middle East. It seems that he is blinded by Putin's undoubted charisma. Ukraine is the victim. No, I do not blame Mr Trump. It's Putin's war after all. But I do believe that Mr Trump is not helping the situation.

I looked it up and...

  • Zelesnky had a 90+-minute call with Pres. Trump after the meeting with Putin.
  • Zelensky then announced he will be in Washington D.C. to meet with Pres. Trump for further discussion toward ending the war.
  • There might another meeting, this time with both Putin and Zelensky, with Pres. Trump, but has yet to be scheduled.

I'm not taking sides in this war, but I have to admit that I admire how Zelensky was able to manage inserting himself into this matter and refusing to be left out. It's nice that the little country won't lay down and die so easily. :)

Well, he was never going to be left out of the entire process; just the particulars in Alaska. What the OP and European leaders are butt-hurt about is that Trump had ANY meeting at all without Z-man there.
