Why is there a ladies forum?

Is there a men's forum that can only be seen by men? I hope not! Because I would want to know what issues the men are facing, otherwise how will I understand them?

The men need to understand us women also. What's the point of us being a mystery to each other?

This whole idea of a private ladies forum or men's forum is quite silly to me.

And is the ladies forum moderated by females only? Or is it moderated by men? If so then how is it private and free from men's interference?

I often wondered that. But FYI some of the questions there only females would actually answer or discuss.
Why not just make it only females can post but everyone can see it.

It wouldnt bother me, actually it would be illuminating. I mean there was a discussion about being hassled by men on the chat, some not very nice experiences, but I think its important that men know women just dont like to be harassed just cos they happen to be female.

Yes, there is a ladies forum, and yes, it is moderated only by female mods. No, the men don't have a guy's forum. They should, since some have issues such as porn or masturbation, and since there are many young kids here, they do NOT need to see that sort of talk.

I'm a grown woman, and there are things not even I want to see.

If there is something too personal or private, then pm is the best way to go. No need to be putting it all out there, then regret it in the end.

Women as well, and the same advise that goes for the men goes for the women. That's what happens when things are isolated. The misconception goes out that only one gender suffers from a particular issue.

I dont think they would be putting pictures up and yes good point PM if you want things truly private.
I dont see any discussion on anything that a child under the age of 13 would be harmed by. A lot of it would go right over their heads.

However I havent noticed many minors on threads, but then I dont frequent the youth places they hang out on here.

There was a thread on porn on this forum a while ago. Not promoting it just a concerrn i think one lady had issues she was trying to deal with a nephew who was addicteed to it. It didnt help when some men posted and basically said it was ok and normal for men. Its not normal. Its sick.

Mastubation affects both men and women and needs spiritual deliverance. Its demonic and people need to know how to be free of it.

I suppose there are women who are just more comfortable conversing with other women, or perhaps they are just misandrist? But I reckon they just want other women's opinion on certain subjects like motherhood, marital problems, or other more private female situations that men don't relate to very well?

I doubt men would want an exclusive forum. We need a little girl talk to straighten us out on occasion.;)

I think it's wise to have a woman's forum just for women. If you take a look at the forum, most are topics that men wouldn't participate in anyway nor would it always be appropriate. There are things, circumstances, prayer requests and situations that pertain only to women.

I know there are times that I'm more apt to post and share when it's only the ladies. I also know younger ladies and married ladies that don't feel it's appropriate to be chatting freely with other men. The women's forum allows them to fellowship with other believers.

Thankfully, we're free to post in whichever forums we choose. If someone wants everyone to see a post, then that's where they'd post. For those that are more reserved and private, they can choose the private forums.

I had some questions for wives, so i put in the ladies forum. I think its good because if I posted in the open forum theres always a chance someone will post on it whos not female and totally derail the thread.

I get annoyed when that happens. Also, sometimes its best not to be hassled about sensitive topics from the other sex who dont understand what women go through cos they just havent got the anatomy.

Its good that some men might want to understand us women...but in my experience, in talking with them sometimes even when reading plain english they often cant even understand or comprehend what we talking about. That is if they arent open to the spirit of understanding.

Ive had men say they think women talk nonsense. But then the reverse is also true of men they actually do talk a lot of rubbish with each other like bragging about their accomplishment and boasting or joking around and ribbing when women arent there. (Being invisible party to some guy talk) .

I was at a meeting and it was just women, and i actually dont like meetings that take more than 2 hours. Actually i would prefer half hour tops, cos I cant sit for 2 hours and listen to people talk for that long. But women can talk for that long. Maybe cos women got so much to say. I start falling asleep. But i know we got to sort our thoughts and feelings out.

If it was men would the meetings take so long? Actually when think about it, some men can be just as bad and talk forever especially if they dominating the conversation. So scratch that. I also remember having a meeting and a man said ok you have something to say please share, then i started sharing and only after one minute he just interrupted me and then didnt let me talk and started going on about his point of view. I hadnt even got to my point or said all I wanted to say. I was so annoyed that i thought what was the point of this meeting he wouldnt even let me share! Or really actually LISTEN to me. This was a pastor!

So the thought just came to my mind about this topic..... in most churches there are men and women groups, so why not on the Christian site? There are many issues that some women just feel more comfortable discussing among other women, even if it seems to be the smallest silliest issue. That's just how God made us. We feel, see, understand in a different way than men do. We express ourselves differently, sometimes in ways that, apart from the Lord knowing and understanding, only other women can understand.
We can say everything and nothing all in the same conversation.
As far as PMing goes......
Not everyone has the ability to start a PM and even if they did, new members don't know who to reach out to for certain issues.
Should there be a mens forum......
in my opinion YES. I can not begin to tell some of the PM's I have received from men that start off alright but quickly get a little inappropriate for sharing with a woman. It would be nice to know there was somewhere on the site to send them to for support.
And please don't reply to this with the whole "men don't talk about feelings and bond lie women" yada yada yada....
WE ALL can use someone whose been there to talk to about life's issues from time to time.

Yea, it's a bad idea for men to pm women about personal private issues and conversely, gals shouldn't be sending pm's to fellas on personal matters.

Neither Women's private personal issues nor men's are the business of busy bodies seeking to get some fat juicy dirty to indulge their flesh. Both men and women have things that only an elder wiser mentors of the same sex should help them deal with. It is not for women to help men nor should men attempt to help women in these matters. That's a certain way to fall into temptation and sin.
