Promise Land

As I look upon my past
 I see alot of pain
 Never feeling loved
 And nothing to gain

 Now I look into my future
 And this is what I see
 The struggles I once had
 Are not a part of me.

 I have suffered and I have lived
 To be what I am today
 For God helped save me
 When I had lost my way.

 He took me by the hand
 And said 'Child follow me,
 You have suffered your share of sorrow,
 Now I shall set you free.'

 As I turned to look behind me
 At my foot prints in the sand
 I knew where I was heading
 To the Promise Land!
